Chapter 34: Taking Down Skynet part: 1

Y/n's POV:

I started to wake up I looked the clock on the nightstand to see that it is 6:30am before looking to my left side to see Yumiko is still asleep. Then. I look at the spare bed to see my daughter is still asleep.

Y/n: *mind* Today is the day for the mission me and Yumiko are going on it even if my voice is not back 100%.

I slowly get out of bed and made my way to the kitchen to make breakfast and some lemon honey tea for my throat. As I am making breakfast and drinking my tea I hear someone walking out from one of the bedrooms. I turned around to Mikasa standing there rubbing her eyes.

Mikasa: Morning dad. She said before yawning.

Y/n: Morning Mikasa did I wake you up?

Mikasa: No you didn't I usually get up at this time in the morning and I see you have your voice back.

Y/n: Yes very little. Do you want to help me make breakfast for your mom and for the others?

Mikasa: Sure.

Mikasa walked into the kitchen and started to help me make breakfast as we are working on it I looked at her with a sad smile on my face.

Y/n: Mikasa can I ask you something.

Mikasa: Yes what is it? She said looking up from the skillet.

Y/n: Have I become a good or I should say was I a good dad to you?

Mikasa: Yes you were a good dad to me before you died. You always look out for me and mom. You made sure we had a good life.

Y/n: That is good to know.

Just then we heard Yumiko.

Hibana: Morning you two.

Mikasa: Morning mom.

Y/n: Morning Yumiko coffee is made.

Hibana: Thanks and I see you have your voice back. She said walking over to the coffee maker.

Y/n: Yep only a little bit my throat is still a little sore.

Hibana: So what were you two talking about. She said as she poured herself a cup of coffee.

Y/n: I was asking Mikasa if I was a good dad in the future.

Hibana: I know that you are going to be a good dad to her in the future and a good husband as well.

Y/n: Thanks Yumiko.

The both of us kissed each other.

Mikasa: Can you two stop kissing each other in front of me.

Y/n and Yumiko broke away from each other.

Hibana:  It is probably the first time you saw us kissing each other just wait until you find a man to be with.

Mikasa: Mom!!!

Y/n: Why do I have a feeling that we are going to be a lot of graves in the back yard.

Just then the rest of the team started to walk out of their rooms.

Y/n: Morning! the coffee is ready and breakfast is almost done.

Thermite: I see you have your voice back.

Y/n: Yep but my throat still hurts a little bit.

Hibana: And that means that me and Y/n are going on the mission too.

IQ: What are you talking about Yumiko?

Hibana: Harry knew that me and Y/n were going on the mission one way or another so he said that if Y/n is able to speak by the time for the mission we can go.
