"No no no no. These are the wrong pins. I asked for safety pins! Not bobby pins!" India threw the baggy of bobby pins on the table and sighed.
"It's okay. I'll send my assistant to go get some." The seamstress spoke.
Today was Stephanie and Cameron's wedding day. The seamstress was working on Stephanie's wedding dress. While tightening the ribbons on the corset, a few seams tore on the side. It wasn't noticeable but they wanted to ensure that more seams wouldn't unravel. India had ordered some safety pins from Walgreens via Doorsash but the Dasher delivered the wrong item.
"I'm taking back my fucking tip." India said as her fingers searched her phone screen for the option to remove the tip she gave through the app beforehand.
Stephanie laughed as she looked at herself in the mirror in front of them. She looked stunning. Her makeup was done flawlessly. Her hair was in a pin-up hairstyle with curls. A diamond tiara placed perfectly on top of her head. She was happy and nothing could ruin her day.
"Indie, stop stressing. It's okay. You've done enough and I thank you for everything. Please go take a walk, girl. Ease your mind." Stephanie bargained with India. "You're gonna make me even more anxious."
"Ugh, fine."
"Can you bring me a glass of water, please?" Stephanie asked.
"Of course," India replied before exiting the room.
Cameron's wedding was being held at his father's house. His dad owned a beautiful estate in Calabasas. India disliked Cameron's father, known as the famous producer, Yotti, because he was rich and didn't make much of an effort to be in his son's life. Cameron had been homeless and worked at Footlocker for pennies while his mother and father carried on and had more children. His mother didn't have much of a say so because she was submissive to Yotti and did everything he said. Now all of a sudden, Yotti wanted to "be there" for his "son". Nevertheless, all India cared about was that Cameron was happy. And if he could forgive his father for abandoning him, that was none of her business.
She wasn't aware that Cameron's dad had disowned him because he stole money from him to save Daniel's life from Juan when they were boys. Daniel and Cameron never felt it necessary to involve her in any of it so she was oblivious.
Now that time had passed and Yotti learned that he had a grandchild, he decided to let it go. Hence the reason why he bought Cameron and Stephanie their home as an apology for his neglect. Cameron wasn't the type to hold grudges so he happily accepted while they worked on their relationship.
India made her way through the mansion, trying to remember how to get around, when suddenly a door opened and she was snatched up into the room behind that door.
She looked up at Daniel with crazed eyes, her adrenaline causing a shortness of breath. He had scared her. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"I miss you." He wrapped his arms around her waist and placed warm kisses on her neck.
She giggled and pushed his head away. "What do you mean? We rode here together. You literally saw me about two hours ago."
"That's not what I'm talking about." His hands slid down and massaged her ass through her mermaid gown. "You look good."
"Just good?" She joked.
Her hair was in a half up, half down hairstyle with wavy hair flowing down her back. She wore a one-shoulder sparkly lilac dress that hugged her body down to her knees and the rest flowed outwards. All the bridesmaids wore the same mermaid gown. Daniel wore a light grey suit with a lilac vest and matching bow tie. His fresh haircut with the sharp hairline accentuated his facial features.
