Epilogue
"CHAR! RUN!"
"I AM RUNNING!"
"RUN FASTER!"
How did I end up this way? It's a long story.
In case you don't know, the year is 2017. The war is getting close to real. In Korea, the place is split in two, right? Right. America is getting there.
You see, a new president is running his term. President David Kun. Not my personal favorite. Not many others either. We kind of started a rebellion. Not me, American citizens. Very few are actually on his side. But those who are, just happen to be the people who are smart, and strong, and really good at this stuff. Figures. We have people like that, but they aren't as good, Plus they don't help us much. We don't like them much.
Anyways, the president has robots to help his side. Our side tried to make the robots self destruct, but some clumsy girl stepped on the so-called "Approach Enemy Button". That's why I'm running. These freaky giant robots are trying to take me to the dungeon or something.
I'm running side by- well, I'm way ahead of her. I'm trying to get her to hurry up, and she's screaming at me to be faster. Classic Avery.
Now that you know what's going on, let me tell you about myself. My name is Charlotte Maina. I'm 17 years old, graduating next year. It's early Spring, and I'm not in school. President Kun temporarily stopped school because he wanted to make school more "friendly to the people attending". That's how he got teenagers on his side. I'm not very popular, like I'm invisible to other students. Less than thirty friends, but I don't care too much. I'm proud of who I am, and if people don't like me, their loss!
I found that most people on our side weren't fit, so they were taken by the robots in no time at all. Almost all American citizens on our side were getting chased. In less than twenty-four hours, over half of us were gone. I was still with Avery, running my heart out.
