Tastes so sour it can't be apple candy

tastes so bitter it must be melancholy

I'm the protagonist girl who gets her heart broken

I'm the heroine of my tragedy cuz my love was stolen

She's the antagonist girl who gets all the devotion

Just a sacrifice for the plot, you're all in for the action

Aches so much it can't be a throb

aches so much I need it to stop

This is what heartbreak feels like-

pacific waves washing into the syke

counter-current sweeps along jagged ice

flowing upstream on winter solstice

Sitting there alone stringing my guitar

then ambling barefoot way too far

to the riverside hill, up the mountaintop bar

frosted streams sweeping along my nostalgia

In all my spite, I tread flattened flowerbeds

Cracked ice though splinters thus I bled

Barefoot and dragging thin threads of red

Crushed like the flowers, treaded and dead

I dive and submerge, plunged into an algid end

But what about you? my devious friend

As ripples fan out

you take a new route

The little girl calls freeze! Don't go; the boy says jeez girl, chill

Passion but for the thrill

I see now it was no more than a rill-

and I chill

We just might fit

but we're just kids

And kids don't keep false promises

so you might as well be my nemesis

Came and went without a trace

Just a blur as you fade.
