Its Sunday, meaning that there is nothing to do. I lie in bed bored out of my mind, when I had brilliant Idea. I'll throw a party. (Don't worry I'm not going to invite weed smoking thugs and hopefully there will be no fire this time). I get on my computer and start emailing people, then my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Oh Nikki, you have to come to the hospital now. Its Gabbi she....she", Gabbi's mom started to bawl.
I started to panic,"I'm on my way."
I ran out the door, shoeless and makeup less. As I open my front door I saw Austin, looking like he was about to knock.
"Hey, are you alright?"
I shook my head,"I don't know, there's something wrong with Gabbi and I need to get to the hospital."
"Okay okay, here let me drive you", he insisted.
We got in to his truck and started our silent trip to the hospital. I look at myself in the small mirror in his car. I was wearing a Rolling Stones t-shirt and pajama pants, I looked like a hot mess. After what felt like forever, we arrived at the hospital. I rushed into the front doors, to see Gabbi's mother talking to the doctor. Mrs Moss was a small woman, she always looked like she was gonna cry. I run to them, curious on Gabbi's condition.
"I'm sorry",the doctor says,"But, Gabbi she had very serious burns. During the fire when she was trying to get out, part of the roof fell on top of her and burned her entire body. I'm sorry to deliver this news to you, but she's dead."
I've only fainted once.
It seems that I was fainting another time, and before I knew it I felt was the cold hard ground on my face.
Then darkness.
The last clear thought in my mind was, she's gone.
