Annabeth looked at her reflection in the mirror. "Well" she said to herself. "I hope he likes this dress." She had picked out a dark blue sleeveless dress, that flowed down in waves to her knees. (Piper had helped her pick it out, and apply her makeup, and do her hair.......and pick out the jewelry) Annabeth sighed and looked at the gift she had gotten Percy. It was a fish tank. (With fish of course) This way, even when he wasn't by the water, he could have a little piece of it with him. It was the only thing she could think of. Hopefully he wouldn't think it was stupid.
Percy straightened his jacket, and glanced over at the gift he had gotten for Annabeth. It was an invisibility cap. To replace the one she had lost in Tartarus. He smiled, knowing she would love it. He looked at the clock. "Oh no" he thought. "I'm gonna be late!" He grabbed the bouquet of roses, and the cap, and ran out the door.
Annabeth sat at the table Percy had reserved, looking out over the water. She glanced at the clock on the wall. "What is taking him so long?" she thought, just as he stumbled through the doors.
Percy made his way towards Annabeth, almost falling over after he saw how pretty she looked. "Annabeth! You look beautiful." He said. Annabeth blushed. "And you look very handsome" she replied. Percy grinned, and handed her the roses, keeping the gift behind his back.
When they had finished eating, Percy gave Annabeth the badly wrapped box. "heh, yea sorry about the wrapping.....but I hope you like it" Annabeth smiled as she tore off the paper. She gasped when she saw the Yankees cap. "is this?" She asked. "Yea" "Percy, thank you so much!!!" She reached across the table and kissed him. "Your present is at my apartment."
At Annabeth's little apartment, Percy had been blindfolded, and was standing in front of the fish tank. As soon as Annabeth told him to, he tore off the blindfold and gasped. "Annabeth is this for me?" "Yea" she replied shyly. "I know how you love the ocean, and now you have a little piece of it with you." "I love you so much Wise Girl, thank you." Percy pulled Annabeth into a hug, and kisses her. "I love you too Seaweed Brain. Happy Valentines Day."
