A couple of days later, April agreed to hang around a little more to help in Valeria, she soon realised, after overhearing their talk one night that their plan to keep April in Valeria was working and that she had decided to stay in Valeria.
This made April laugh and decided to not let them get under her skin the next time she plans to leave. It's been a couple of days since the attack Ember had previously put on the kingdom and everything was being restored.
April found Aaron shop to be a great help.
They spent all day there and were about to just finish up and close the shop.
"Okay, this is all we can do today. I think we made the right potions for everyone who had ordered." April said.
"Yeah, you're right, you don't have to worry, I'll make sure everyone gets the appropriate potions." Tanya replied.
Tanya picked up her bag full of potions and went to deliver them to the elves and fairies around town. She almost bumped into Dairon and Livian at the door. They let Tanya go through and joined April in the shop.
"We got news from Catherine. They're alright. They are both currently in Narindel with Cassidy. Catherine wants to check something in the library there." Livian said.
Cassidy had left Valeria a couple of days ago, to check on Catherine.
Tanya was getting worried about her because they heard nothing from them until this day.
"Have you done here?" Livian asked.
"Yeah, I was just leaving." April answered.
"What's the plan today?" Livian asked.
"Well, I was thinking to go out of Valeria like I was planning to do for the past couple of days." April explained.
"Oh, come on, you don't have to do that." Livian said.
"You said I can, after a couple of days, we made a deal." April asked.
"Yeah, it's true, we agreed for you to stay for a couple of days to think about it, but I don't understand why you think that I'd let you go after that." Livian said.
"Ha, good one, Livian, you're such a smark hawk. No, serious no joking, stay in Valeria." Dairon said.
"Guys, I'm going." April said.
"No, wait. Please, let's talk about this." Livian said.
"Livian, please. I'll be better off away from Valeria so I can think. There are still a lot of things going on inside my head that just need a break." April said.
Dairon and Livian exchanged looked and he sighed.
"Fine. But you can't go alone."
Around midnight, Ember arrived at her castle flying on one of the birds.
She dashed into the main hall, closed the door behind her, and sat down.
At last, she was holding the magical sceptre in her hand. She felt like an ultimate winner.
She paused for a couple of seconds to quietly observed the sceptre.
She place the sceptre in the middle of the room, then stood back and flew a fireball at it.
But it did nothing.
Ember was so focused on destroying the sceptre that she just spent a full hour throwing fireballs at it. But, again, nothing happens.
She stood up and headed towards the door, but stopped in her path as she noticed something shimmering on the floor. On the floor, attached to a black feather, was Livian's medallion.
