Nai-angat ko ang ulo at napatigil sa paghaplos sa balahibo ng aso.
I'm sure what I heard. I'm hundred percent sure what I've heard is a gunshot.
Napabuga ako ng hangin at pinagpatuloy ang ginagawa. It must be from the crazy humans out there.
Pero sino nga ba ang niloloko ko? The gunshot bothers me. For some unknown reason, what I'm feeling right now is not pleasant to feel. Something doesn't feel right. I don't like this feeling.
Tumayo ako at lumabas ng room. All of a sudden, parang mas naging matalas ang pakiramdam ko. I shouldn't feel this way. What's wrong with me?
"Ate z-zav.."
"Hey, bud" I gave Ally my reassuring smile, telling her that's everything fine. I'm sure narinig din nito ang putok ng baril.
"Hindi pa rin ba sila bumabalik?" I asked her at naglakad palabas ng bahay to look for Alca and Astrid.
"Hindi pa rin po" she said habang nakasunod sa akin.
Mabilis kaming nakarating sa Ice cream shop na pinagbibilhan namin pero wala kaming nakita ni anino ng mga ito.
I noticed how everyone seems like..I don't know. Para silang magmamadali and acting weird. Nakita kong tumatakbo ang iba sa isang direction.
Naikuyom ko ang kamao ko ng marinig ang pinag-uuspana ng mga ito. Napansin ko agad ang maraming tao hindi kalayuan sa amin.
I walked in that way out of curiosity, trying to know kung anong meron. I don't know why I'm feeling nervous as I get closer to the crowd.
I instinctively cover Ally's body with my body hearing another gunshot just from the distance.
Nilibot ko ang paningin sa paligid. Maraming nakadapa, at nakayuko habang nakatago naman ang ibang mga taong nasa paligid.
Naramdaman ko ang pag galaw ni ally na I'm sure nililibot din nito ang paningin sa paligid.
"N-n-no s-si a-at-te l-la-la" I noticed Ally's voice cracked. With that, I immediately look where Ally's looking.
Time froze for a second and my heart started beating harder than ever.
Para akong nanlamig sa nakikita ko ngayon.
Oh God, no no..
No no no please..
This can't be happening..
Hindi ko alam kung kailan pa 'ko nakalapit sa kanya at yakap yakap siya ng mahigpit ngayon.
Tanging ang pag-iyak ng kapatid at pinsan nito ang naririnig ko sa paligid. I feel like I'm in a verge of losing my sanity. Parang akong tatakasan ng bait sa duguan niyang dibdib ngayon. I can't stop my trembling hand caressing her face.
"A-a-ate a-l-ca"
"A-at-te.."
Walang tigil sa pagiyak ang mga ito.
"H-ho-n.." I tried so hard not to choke but I failed. My head were fuzzy.. I don't know..
I'm trying not to lose my mind. She needs me right now. I held her as gently as possible. I need to calm down.
She can't lose now, not in front of my eyes.
"N-no no no, d-don't c-close your eyes s-sweetie" I can't stop my hand from trembling. It's trembling so much.
"L-look a-at me p-please.." Oh God.
"B-baby p-plea-se.. l-look at m-me" I held her face so close to me, not minding the blood from my hand. Her eyes were trying to look at me, pero hinang hina ito.
