Both girls were standing together taking their breaths as Lucy looked over. "Remember what we planned alright? I mostly sing were you jump but mostly play your violin." Viola nodded as she whispered, "Corio, I hope you are alright." Then Lucky Flickerman announced, "And now our final tributes. I first met these young ladies in the zoo not too long ago. From District 12... Lucy Gray Baird and Viola Greenward. Come out here with that beautiful voice and wonderful Violin, you songbirds." Both girls walked out onto the stage, hand in hand as they arrived to the microphone. Viola had her violin ready at hand as Lucy said, "Good evening, Capitol. Districts. I wrote this song about a boy back in 12, and I hope he hears it. He played me and my cousin 2 separate time, but it hurts my cousin more." Lucy looked over at Viola and gave her the queue. "♪ When I was a babe I fell down in the holler. When I was a girl I fell into your arms. We fell on hard times and we lost our bright color. You went to the dogs and I lived by my charms. ♪"
Viola looked at Lucy asking her to sing the part, making Lucy nod. With a deep breath Viola poured her spirit into the next words. "♪ It's sooner than later that I'm six feet under. It's sooner than later that you'll be alone. ♪" Both girls leaned into the microphone and sang with passion as they harmonized. "♪ So who will you turn to. Tomorrow, I wonder. For when the bell rings Lover, you're on your own. I am the one who you let see you weeping. I know the soul that you struggle to save. Too bad I'm the bet that you lost in the Reaping. Now what will you do. When I go to my grave ♪" Lucy smirked, Lucky came up to both girls looking at the money and said, "Ding, ding, ding. Look at that. Record high for the evening. The Capitol is definitely watching. People sending in donations. See what happens when you do stuff?"
"Yeah. Now, I don't love your odds, but may they be in your favor. Thank you for being here." Viola said. "Ms. Lucy Gray and Ms. Viola Greenward, District 12." Lucky yelled out as all Capitol cheered for the girls as they walked off.
"Viola Greenward. Viola Greenward." Viola turned around to see Coriolanus and smile. "Hey. You're alive. Those bombs, they have changed everything. They blew the walls out." Coriolanus grabbed her hands and said, "So that means you can escape up into the stands. There's a hole down in the floor. Leads down to some tunnels. I've tried it and you can disappear down there. So the moment you hear that bell ring, you ignore the weapons in the middle and you run as fast as you can for that hole. And you find a place to hide down below. With Lucy." Viola nodded as the two just looked at each other. "Thank you for everything Corio. Not just me but for Lucy as well." Coriolanus nodded, as the night sky was above them. Coriolanus stared into her eyes as they both leaned in. Their lips touched with a simple yet delicate kiss.
