i need people who are straight and cis and monogamous to like really not go to pride events unless ur going w ur lgbtqia+ parterner or some shit {edit: some shit including things like taking ur lgbtqia+ identifying friend/family member to pride bc their parents are unsupportive but u are supportive n they wan to go, ur lgbtqia+ indentifying friend invited u, ect as long as youre there w the intention to be supporting them + the community n not making it about you}.
other than that this shit is not and will never ever be for you. pride is about a lot of things. pride is about celebrating lgbtqia+ sexualities/gender after years of silence and oppression and abuse thats STILL HAPPENING. we're taking one fucking month to be loud and to be happy and have a safe space {which sometimes isnt even safe bc theres still fucked up racism and biphobia and aro/acephobia and people being REAL TRASHY to nonbinary people ugh dont even fuckignb get me started., FUCKIG}
