The Lone Male Knight

Chapter 1: The Invasion

It was dark... He couldn't see a thing but he was aware of the people outside the room they placed him in. He can hear their voices from outside the door.

???: "The subject is doing exceptionally well on all the trials. It's safe to say that he is the one."

???: "Good, it would be a good time to take him to the castle."

???: "Yes, your Highness but I recommend hiding him from the other kingdoms and the citizens. If they saw him and it leaks that we have..."

???: It won't come to that but eventually, we have to but until that day, I will help him with everything he needs to know."

???: "I trust you, my Highness but what will his name be?" The voice was quiet for a moment like they were in thought

Blake shook his head as he kept hitting the dummy. He was daydreaming again but what can you do when you are just hitting the same thing over and over again? Blake looked around and saw that the other guardians were training, punching the training dummies to practice their hand-to-hand combat before their captain, a woman called Eva, barked out a command.

Captain Eva: "Good work, AT EASE!"

The knights stopped their training and then stood in soldier-like formation as they looked at their Captain

Captain Eva: "As Guardians, it is our duty to protect the Kanterbury from evil" She takes a breath before shouting more words to her soldiers

Captain Eva: "KEEP BETTERING YOURSELVES!" The Knights proceeded to give a salute to their Captain as she saluted back to them

Captain Eva: "Today, we finally have a recruit who passed the entrance exam" As she speaks, looking at the recruit who of course is still nervous about all of this but he digresss

Captain Eva: Step up and report yourself, New Guardian!

Blake steps up to the front where he was instructed to, feeling pretty nervous about the next step he has to do.

Captain Eva: "Now please raise your visor."

Blake's mind: 'Here goes nothing. Let's see if they know..."

He raises his visor, showing off his face which is showing his nervous smile and he is nervous from both his official passing to a guardian and the fact that he is a guy.

Captain Eva: "Congratulations Kid, I knew you could do it. Now-

Blake noticed that she didn't react to him but he didn't think much about that cause he noticed the sky turning dark.

Blake's mind: "That's weird, it's still noon."

He follows Captain Eva and that's when he sees the ship, floating in the sky. The knights nearby were muttering before the ship fired off a shot that hit the scout, sending her flying

???: "Barbara!" The ship shot more firing shots at the kingdom. Eva gave out orders before she turned to Blake and her voice died in her throat when she saw a fireball about to crash next to them. She wasn't able to say anymore due to one of the shots hitting nearby, sending Blake and Eva flying.

Everything went dark.....

As the Knight falls, he thought he was already a goner, there's no way he will survive the fall. He closed his eyes and waited for his demise... Until, a blue orb appears, surrounding his body and making his fall much slower than before Knight opens his eyes, confused by what the hell is happening right. Suddenly, a lady with Kanterbury Knight's Chestplate hovering right in front of him. He never had this woman before, not even in the exam nor at the training site
