Four am comes too early, like it has everyday for the last eight years. But today is different. Today is the day i leave Justin. He had abused me long enough. i finally managed to get the courage after finding my brother and telling him everything.  I get out of bed silently as to not wake him before i was supposed to. I slip out of the bedroom and go to the kitchen to start his coffee and oatmeal. After i finished his breakfast, i started on his lunch and dinner knowing that today was the day that he always worked late. i finish everything and go to wake him, hoping that he didnt hit me when he woke up. i tap his shoulder, saying, "I finished everything. your clothes were ironed last night, and you also have a to go cup of coffee." i stepped slightly back as he sat up, stretching. "Did you make sure that my boots were clean?" "Yes sir. i did that before i went to bed last night." "Good." He got out of bed and walked towards me. i held my breath as he stroked my face saying, "Good girl." I feigned a smile and watched him as he walked out of the room. i breathed a sigh of relief  and started cleaning the room. Justin walked back in the room in his work clothes, saying, "Don't forget to go shopping today. make sure you get my whiskey." "I will." I say as he kisses my cheek. he walks back out the room, with me following him. he goes to grab his lunchbox and thermos off the counter saying, "i'll be getting off later than i usually do on thursdays, make sure that i have a drink waiting on me." "Yes sir." I say just to make sure he doesnt realize that something is up. He nods and walks out the front door and i lock it behind him. i go to the window to make sure he's gone before i start packing what i could. after he had drove off i started packing quickly. after i finished that i called Luis, my brother, hoping hed pick up. "Hello?" A sleepy voice answered on the third ring. "Hey it's Hannah, im getting ready to head to california. im going to stop and get a new phone so he cant track me." "Okay," he said sounding more awake. "Does he know anything?" "No, he's already gone for the day. i cant be too sure, but he might have a tracker on my car." i admit nervously. "I paid for a plane ticket in your name a week ago when you decided to leave. All you need is your id." he told me. "Thank you." "i'll be at the airport for you by 4 pm." He says as i zip up my suitcase. "I'll see you then. Thank you again Luis, i'll pay you back somehow." "You're familia. see you later." He says then hangs up the phone. i finish getting ready and decide to write down the numbers i needed out of my phone. after i had done that i placed the phone on his desk in the office and left the house. only after locking the door behind me, leaving my copy of the house keys in the planter next to the door, and was in my car, did i allow myself to breathe a sigh of relief.
