8. Cloud Nine

Getaway Car/ House of the dragon out now!

"So what does Stephen do when you're at work all day?"

" well, sometimes he comes with me, but my old boss didn't like that, but I suppose now that I am the boss I could bring him with me every day."

" what did he do before?" Larys pondered.

" which sounds really boring." Stephen added.

"you know if you ever wanted to spend the day with me... I don't know how exciting my life is compared to working beside your talented, amazing and beautiful, mother..." larys offered.

" I could hang out with you?" Stephen questioned.

" if it's all right with your mother?" Larys agreed

" mama could I?" Stephen questioned.

"Larys," willa whispered running a hand over his leg. He fixated on her hand, touching him. " I couldn't ask you to do that. You've already done so much. At least let me repay you for-"

" repay me?" Larys seemed to scoff at the thought.  " we are friends we are...." he wanted to be so much more than friends. " close." he offered. " I just want what's best for you and Stephen and we seem to be getting along great. Don't you think?"

" could you show me around the castle?" Stephen questioned.

" I could. I'm sure my sister tully would love to meet you too."

" she's married to the prince." Willa added.

" do you think you could train me?" Stephen questioned.

" train you?" he countered, confused He looked to willa.

" you know..." his feet twisted on the ground "Train me with a sword and stuff." Stephen answered.

" I'm afraid I'm not as well skilled with a blade as I am with my mind." Larys admited defeat and he hated how stephens little face turned down. "But we could give it a go."

Willa sighed. Larys was so perfect. He smiled back at her and stephen jumped up going to get ready.

"Stephen honey i have to get going-"

"I got Mr larys!" He called back. Willa hesitated.

"Go on i will take good care of him. We will-"

"I'm ready!" Stephen declared

"Shirt." Willa corrected. Stephen looked down. "I haven't mended that one yet it has a Hole." Willa tsked.

"Whoops."

"We can all walk together." Larys suggested.

Willa held Larys hand as they walked Stephen skipped and hopped ahead of them.

"You can bring him to me if-"

"We will spend the day together. Don't worry. If Stephen grows tired of me i will send him your way."

"I'm a big kid i can stay at home by myself." Stephen countered.

"It's not something I'm proud of." Willa whispered. "I just-"

"You don't have to explain yourself to me Willa. We all do things hard things at times to try and better the lives of the ones we love. You working hard for your son. It's admirable. You doing it alone... know that you never have to again. You have me. The both of you." Larys declared.

"There you go with your big romantic declarations." Willa whispered blushing. "Making my heart skip a beat."

"Stephen this is my sister Tully." Larys introduced. "Tully this is lady willas son Stephen."

"Willa has a son?" Mallory demanded.

"This is Mallory Cole-" she scoffed. "Lannister." Larys added. "Shes like a little sister."

"Hey Stephen." Tully added.

"Hi." Stephen smiled back at her.

"I'm showing Stephen around. You want to help me with the royal tour?"

"Follow the whales youngster!" Mallory declared.

"Speak for yourself little miss about to burst!" Tully countered

"Dont scare him please." Larys begged.

"Come on Stephen. I will show you to my Favorite place as of recently. The kitchen!" Mallory declared.

"Any cake in the kitchen? Umm we don't have to tell my Mum if there is." He added.

"We shall keep the secret between us." Tully agreed. "You two go on i will meet you there." She moved to larys. "You disappear for the week and come back with a Stephen?"

"He was sick. I had to stay and help him. I'm sorry i was gone Tul-"

"It's okay. I was just worried about you. I'm glad you and willa are getting closer. I didn't know she had a son."

"Me either." Larys admitted. "But he is so great. We have been bonding alot. He likes me."

"Of course he does and willa... This is a big step larys. She trusted you with her son for the day."

"I really really like her and i haven't even..." He stopped himself. Tully leaned closer.

"What?"

"I haven't kissed her yet." Larys whispered. "Im falling for her. I have never felt like this before and it scares me."

"Love is scary." Tully agreed. "But Larys she clearly likes you a lot. She trusts you. I bet when Stephen says how much fun he had with his new friend larys she is going to kiss you. On the spot!"

Larys hoped that was true. Because he was sore and thought he was going to collapse after a training session with Stephen.

"This was the best day ever!" Stephen declared.

"I'm so glad." Larys agreed.  "We can spend more time together. I'm always here for you and your mother."

When willa came out Stephen was hugging larys and her heart melted at the sight. She brought a hand to her heart at the smile on Stephen's face.

"Mum!" Stephen ran off and larys leaned heavily on his cane glancing back at them. "I had so much fun today!"

"I'm so glad honey." Willa agreed. "Did you thank larys?" Stephen ran back to Larys

"Thank you for the best day ever!"

"Anytime Stephen." Larys agreed. Willa smiled walking over to them.

"Thank you larys." Willa echoed. "Thank you for being Absolutely amazing." With that she kissed him and larys was on cloud nine.
