9. Speechless

"That's a very big smile." Tully remarked. "OH!" She squealed. "You kissed!" Larys nodded. "And it was magical?" he nodded again. "And she clearly left you speechless! Oh Larys! I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks, Tul."

"I knew she would love you you're so lovable!"

" I think you're a bit biased." Larys mused.

" so what if I am it's still the truth!" She assured him. "Oh i can see it now! You and her will have the most adorable children! You will make her smile every day-"

"It was just a kiss. Lets not start planning a wedding just yet." Larys countered.

"Stephen is so cute too! Those freckles!"
Tully added as mallory came up to them ready for gossip.

" Oh important question for you larys. who was her husband? Or the father..." mallory pondered

"I dont know." Larys admitted.

"No records on a husband..." mallory added

"You went digging?" Tully laughed out.

"I had to do my due diligence." Mallory agreed. "Stephen swann is his title but from what i can tell there is not a father in the frame and never has been so hes really more of a-"

"Mallory!" Tully demanded. "Be nice."

"I just want details."

"I dont have them. I dont want to pry." Larys corrected. "You shouldnt either. I like her mallory. I like Willa a lot. Dont ruin this."

"Never im just simply curious." Mallory assured.

"Find something else to peak your curiosity." Larys requested turning around.

"Where are you going? You just got here!"

"To check on Stephen." Larys answered.

"Can you imagine if they have children. Black hair and freckles! Is that possible? I want that to be possible." Mallory declared.

"Stephen was find this morning but hes coughing again." Willa remarked when she found larys. " I told him I would look for you and try and write down this time all the things that you used to make him feel better."

" I can stop by. Actually, I was looking for you and him. I wanted to check on him see how he was doing." Larys assured. " the gardens are very complex as well." he didn't want her to have to go through the trouble of finding all the ingredients and making him become suddenly obsolete in her life. " I would be more than happy to get anything key or you might need for any present or future ailments." He added.

"Thanks larys."

They walked back to her house with a bundle full of new herbs . Stephen was dancing around the front room when they arrived with a stray cat he had found and claimed. Willa gaped back at him.

This morning he was in bed, coughing saying, please get Lord larys back  and now he was jumping around as he was perfectly healthy

"Stephen?" Willa commanded, and he froze before spinning around to face them. The cat ran up to them purring between their legs. " you seem perfectly fine. What happened?"

" it's a miracle!" Stephen declared, arms outstretched wide. " I am suddenly healed."

" Stephen!"

" hi Larys," Stephen, countered, going up to him and giving his hand a tug. " I got a new cat I got him today is that all right mama? Larys come meet him. He's so cute."

" your mother said you were sick. Not feeling well coughing again." Larys offered.

" like I said, it's a miracle!" Stephen agreed.

Stephen wanted him back  he liked how happy larys made his mother. Like that smile on her face after she had seen him at work throughout the day. He liked when larys spent the night it made him feel like he had a father. Someone that would protect them.

" Stephen Severus Swann." Willa warned. They did not lie to each other. That was not the type of relationship they had. Stephen glanced back at her, letting go of larys hand.

" I am feeling much better... I'm sorry,.. OK I lied. But it's only because I wanted larys to come back."

Larys felt truly special in that moment. Stephen wanted him to return so we made up a lie about being sick to get him back thinking that was the only way.

Larys put a hand on his shoulder, and Stephen looked up at him

" Stephen you don't have to make up lies just ask we can hang out whenever you want. I'm always here for you and your mother." Larys assured. " don't lie to your mother tell her everything. You mean the world to her. Even though you're lying was to get me here which I am very flattered you made her very worried."

" sorry mama."

Willa looked to Larys. He had a wave talking so calmly, and so eloquently, and so simplistically that her son understood she knew it Every time they interacted that she was falling in love with larys Strong.
