Warriors AU (Shrewpaw x Squrrielflight)

Prologue

The unpleasant night unfolded into the dark brown Tom's amber gaze. Nothing seemed to add up or make proper sense as to what he felt like. All he felt was the cold and moist grass that he laid on top of.

He tried to stand up, but the more he struggled, the more energy he expended and quickly collapsed with a disappointed grunt. He finally took his time to gaze at the world he was submerged into. He looked at the trees that all curved unnaturally, almost shaped like a claw. He heard noises of crows and rustling amongst the bushes, trees, and the surrounding area, but saw, nor scented anything.

There was a bush that was oddly in front of him. At first he didn't think much of it until it started to glow, the white light blinded his senses causing him to hiss in terror by the powerful force. Alas, the light died down and a figure emerged and strangely resembled a cat. The dark brown Tom gazed at the cat in awe, its eyes showed nothing, almost dead eyed. The cat finally spoke, "Are you Shrewpaw, apprentice of Thunderclan?"

The dark brown Tom nervously answered
"Yes. I am."

The voice of the cat was distorted. It sounded like multiple cats were speaking at once, and to Shrewpaw he didn't understand why. Yet again the strange cat mewed. "The council reached an agreement and we've decided that you are one of the chosen, the forgotten ones."

Shrewpaw took a step back, utterly confused by everything. "What do you mean forgotten ones? I'm not forgotten."

"Your Starclan, granted us the ability and authority to put you back to your world for a test."

"Test? Test for what?!?"

"We have said too much already, for now it is goodbye, young one."

Shrewpaw blinked, the cat was gone, and the ground started to shake abruptly. The trees broke from their stature and shook side to side, then they shot straight up and bursted out of the ground towards the sky. Before Shrewpaw could react, the ground sunk down taking him along the deep cavity that unfolded him below his haunches and before he knew it-

Silence.
