The next beautiful morning, Atharva and Ruhi were sleeping soundly as the light gently fell on them. Atharva groaned as his face was covered with stray strands of hair.

He brushed the hair away and turned towards his wife, who was sleeping peacefully with a little pout and soft, sweet snores. He chuckled at how adorable she looked.

He tucked her hair behind her ear and caressed her cheek with his thumb. Ruhi groaned slightly in annoyance, fluttering her eyes open. Atharva smiled at her and gave her a peck on the lips, saying,

“Good morning, meri jaan” (Good morning, my love).

Ruhi smiled, her morning voice husky and soothing to her ears. She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, replying, “Very good morning, hubby.” She gave him another peck on the lips.

He playfully pushed her back and climbed on top of her. Ruhi gasped as their breaths mingled, and he whispered against her lips,

“Are you sore?”

Ruhi blushed and playfully slapped his chest, nodding. She said, “Arghh, aisi baat mat kariye, besharam kahi ka. You know that I’m—” (Arghh, don’t talk like that, you shameless person. You know that I’m—)

He chuckled and replied, “My dear little wifey, you don’t know what kind of magic you’re doing on me. I know you’re sore; I’m just confirming. If you’re not, then let’s have one more round. What do you think?”

She punched him on the chest where her name was inked, her face turning completely red with shyness. “Hattiyaa, kitni gandi-gandi baatein karte hain aap, besharam kahi ka.” (You rascal, how indecent you talk, you shameless person.)

He chuckled and moved away from her, saying, “Biwi ji, only for you” (Wife, only for you).

She tried to get up but couldn’t move properly due to soreness. Atharva smirked and got up from bed, heading towards the washroom. He glanced back, waiting for her to call him.

Ruhi struggled to move and finally called out, “Aji sunte ho kya?” (Hey, are you listening?)

He turned around immediately, crossing his arms with a smirk on his lips, and replied, “Haanji, aapki hi sunta hai.” (Yes, I only listen to you.)

She pouted and raised her arms like a toddler, saying, “Theek hai, then pick me up. I can’t even move.”

He came closer, their lips just inches apart, and said, “I think I was a bit rough last night.”
