The Castalia Crystals

Chapter 1

*Una's POV*

"Run! Una, please! I will take care of this!" says a girl with light brown hair and a fiery red dress. "Go with your brother! It'll be alright, I promise!" she says again.

"Come on, we have to get out of here before anyone else finds us again!" says a boy with light brown hair and a gray suit.

"Wait, what about her? We have to save her! " I say in my dream.

"There's no time!" says the boy. They fly into the sky using magic. Just then, I bolt awake.

"What the heck was that? I..I don't have a brother or a sister. Who were they? I guess I drank too much blue coral punch. It was just a bad dream." I look up at my clock and sees that the time is 12:16 PM.

"OH NO!! I'm going to be late for school! I didn't pack a lunch either!" Great. That just makes everything worse.

I quickly gets ready for the day then runs into the kitchen to grab a few things to throw into her lunchbox when I see my mum, Queen Marina of the Water Kingdom.

"Darling, why are you in a rush?" says my mum.

"I'm late for school!" I exclaim.

"Una, it's a Sunday. There's no school today! Even if it was a school day, I would have woken you up. Also, are you feeling alright? You don't look well."

"I'm fine. I just had a bad dream last night."

"If you say so. What do you want for breakfast?"

"Nothing. I'm not hungry. I think I ate too much last night. I'm going to go to the library for a while.

"Ok, darling. If you need anything, I'll be right here. I'm just gonna leave this plate of ocean cookies just in case you get hungry."

"Ok, mum. Thanks so much. " I say as I walk to the library.

When I arrive in the library and open the door, nobody's inside. Not surprising. It is a Sunday and I'm pretty much the only person who uses the library for some reason. I walk to my favourite section of books, the History section. It has so much interesting stuff about all of the kingdoms and how they came to be! It's SO COOL! 

I look through all the books to find my next interesting read.  I look and look and look and LOOK at all the books I can see and I realize that it seems that I have seen and read all the books. UGHHHHH I JUST WANT TO READ MORE BOOKS :( 

I'm just sitting, STILL looking for a book and all of a sudden, a book falls on my head! 

"OWWWWW. Darn you book!"

I look at the cover of the book that fell and FINALLY!! It's a book I haven't read yet! It's called "About the Battle of Castalia and the Prophecy of the Crystals"! I start to read it and I read a really interesting page. It talks about the three Crystal children and during the Battle of Castalia, their parents gave them to the rulers of different kingdoms according to the powers they were born with so that they would be hidden and safe from the Dark Kingdom. Apparently, the Dark Kingdom was trying to eliminate all royals who had Crystal royalty in their blood so that they could take it over for themselves.

The next page, I notice that there is information about each of the children. To my surprise, one of them is just like me! They were born in the year 1893, have light brown hair and had Water powers so they were given to the Water Kingdom! 

I run out of the library, carrying the book in my arms, to find my mum. When I find her, I asked her about the Battle of Castalia, the Prophecy of the Crystals and the youngest princess who got placed in the Water Kingdom who was like me.

"Mum, do you know anything about the Prophecy of the Crystals and the youngest princess of the Crystal Kingdom who got placed in the Water Kingdom? I was looking through a book and she sounds just like me!" I ask.

"Darling, I need to tell you something important. I was going to tell you soon but I didn't know when. You are one of the lost Crystal siblings and you're part of a prophecy. We were told to keep you safe until you were ready to protect yourself. Now, you must find the other two. One is in the Fire Kingdom-"

"WHAT?! THE FIRE KINGDOM?!?! WE HATE THEM!" I yell.

"Bring down the volume, Una. I know that the Fire Kingdom and us aren't the best of friends but you have to or else the Dark Kingdom will take over."

"Alright, fine. What kingdom is the other sibling, the older brother, in?

"He is in the Tech Kingdom. Luckily, we have a good relationship with them because we help them with their waterproof devices.

"Phew. At least one of the kingdoms that they're in is friends with us."

"Darling, before you leave, you should pack. 

"Oh. Yeah. Thanks, mom!
