A/N: WRITTEN AFTER S3 E3 PREMIERED! Started writing this after all stars episode three premiered so if this ends up being horrifically canon divergent at some point (which it inevitably will lol) that's why
The bus was just as miserable as she remembered.
Fiore was heading back to Camp Tipiskaw for one final shot at a million dollars. After All-Stars had finished filming, she had been approached by the producers, asking if she would come back for one more season. After the grand reunion and fan service of All-Stars, they were worried ratings would drop when presented with an all-new cast. Fiore agreed; anything to stay out of that godforsaken school.
Her parents wouldn't care either way, as long as she stayed far from home.
A couple of forged signatures and a few weeks spent in a hotel room later, Fiore was back on the bus where it all began, along with seven strangers. Her advantage this time? All-Stars hadn't finished airing yet. The rest of the contestants wouldn't know what she had learned, what tactics she had used, none of it. Hell, she could steal someone else's strategy and no one would know.
It wasn't much, but it would have to be enough. She couldn't lose again.
A few hours into the drive, they stopped to pick up the second group of contestants. Out of the six, only one caught Fiore's attention.
Another kid.
He looked to be a few years older than her with warm tan skin, dark hair, and an outfit that could have come straight out of Aiden's closet, obscure band shirt and all. He walked straight past her without a second glance, but Fiore's eyes followed him down the aisle. This could be a golden opportunity.

That night, while the rest of their team was trying to start a fire, Fiore dragged the other kid (Jordan, as she had learned) by the wrist into the woods, making a loud comment about how she remembered where an apple tree was but needed help picking the fruit.
The moment they were out of earshot, she set things into motion. "We should make an alliance."
Jordan pulled his hand back. "Do you think I'm an idiot? I've seen you play, you'll throw me under the bus the second you get a chance."
"Like the rest of the team won't? The only reason I'm back is so that they can get an easy early elimination - you're probably here for the same reason. The team will want us out because we're a burden on challenges, especially if they pull the same stunt as last time and make all the early challenges about strength. I'm not proposing we become best friends." Fiore rolled her eyes.
"Then what is it?"
Fiore started walking in the direction of the apple tree again. "We steer votes away from each other, get them to focus on other 'threats'. I won't mess with how you play the game, you won't mess with how I play it. We stick together after the merge with votes, but once we get to the final three all bets are off. Whoever wins there wins."
"So we just vote together and do our own thing otherwise?"
"Essentially. Sound fair?"
Jordan thought for a moment before relenting. "Fine, but don't expect me to stick my neck out to get votes off your back."
"I wouldn't either."
They made it to the tree a few minutes later, quickly gathering as many apples as they could carry. On the walk back, Fiore figured some small talk couldn't hurt.
"Why are you here, anyway?"
"What?" Jordan asked, looking back at her.
"It's not like there and a ton of ten-year-olds on reality shows, why are you here?"
