Cadence sighed as she looked in the mirror. She'd already spent hours on just her mane alone. At this rate, she'd never be ready for her big day. Despite the five bottles of hairspray she'd gone through already, Cadence couldn't seem to perfect her bangs. I should just move on and come back to this later she thought. What was the point in ignoring every other facet of her getup in favor of mulling over one tiny detail?

As Cadence lifted the mascara using her horn, a thought occurred, causing her to lose focus. The mascara poked her in the eye, leaving her half blind for a few moments. "Oh, hooves!" She exclaimed, hastily picking up the mascara. As she carefully opened her eye, she started to ponder the thought again. What if I'm not perfect for my birthday day? What if I disappoint my true love? As Cadence reapplied the mascara, her unease only worsened. The tiny, almost unnoticeable stray hairs seemed to stick out even more.

"Princess Mi Amore Cadenza? I have your dress!" The tailor gently opened the door, holding an elegant gown. It had a pur white band, which cascaded into a flowing skirt. Gold was embroidered as ribbons along the ends, giving the dress a regal and expensive air. The dress was paired with a mesh veil. The veil was attached to a diamond tiara, looking extravagant yet dainty.

"Oh, it looks absolutely stunning!" Cadence praised. "And you can just call me Cadence, no need for full names."

"Oh, why thank you! And my apologies, prin- Cadence," the tailor replied as she stepped into the room. Cadence stepped onto the fitting platform. The tailor carefully draped the dress around her, mindful not to cause any wear and tear. However, when she went to place the veil, Cadence stopped her.

She explained, "Sorry, I would prefer to have a bit more time to touch up my mane." The tailor nodded and stepped away, allowing Cadence to add the finishing details to her bangs. She looked in the mirror, and decided that she wasn't quite satisfied with the outcome. The tailor noticed the troubled look on Cadence's face.

"If you would like, I could help finish up your mane," the tailor offered. Cadence's face glowed at the suggestion.

She answered, "I would appreciate that very much, thank you." The tailor stepped up, and after fiddling with Cadence's mane for some moments, decided she was done. Cadence glanced in the mirror, and the smile on her face grew sizably. "It looks marvelous, thank you ever so much!"

The tailor smiled sweetly, and told Cadence, "you look beautiful, princess. Go on, enjoy your day! I'm glad to have helped in your preparations." With that, Cadence smiled back at the kind tailor, and went to wait outside the venue doors. Soon she would be walking down the aisle, feasting her eyes upon her soon-to-be husband. All the worry about the stray hairs in her mane seemed trivial, or her anxiety around the day not being perfect enough. As long as she married her true love, at the end of the day, everything would be perfect.

A/N: how tf did I write more based off of a silly meme than I could a whole ass essay. Anyway yeah there are going to be like two more chapters of this. Also don't expect angst, this is just like 3 chapters of light fluff based on a lil meme. Sorry to those who expect a plot ig
