Bright Heart

So..I wrote this intro after i wrote the story. Im gonna say this now: its not my best work. If you like it, let me know!

The story takes place in a city, where people lived happily, but not as you think. Instead of their hearts being trapped on the inside, their hearts took the shape of a golden locket. Inside that locket was a name, a date, and a picture. You see Reader, when a person is born, the heart knows who that person's soul mate is. The locket heart stays locked tight until they meet their soul mate. Once the two meet, their lockets will unlock, and the two will fall in love. Normally, the heart locket glows bright, but often, if the heart and mind of a person becomes corrupted, it looses its glow, and becomes dull and grey. Now, in this city, in the very center, there is a park. in the center of the park there is a large oak tree. The leaves of this tree aren't green. They are gold. During the day, many people visit the tree, but at night, only two people remained. The first was a boy, his locket glowing bright. The second was a girl, her locket dull and grey. Neither one realized the other was there. The boy would just sit at the bottom of the tree, strumming a guitar, while the girl would sit high up in the tree, listening to the sounds. This went on for many years until they each became adults. One night,  however, the boy decided instead of playing his guitar, he decided to watch the stars. He noticed that there was a figure in the tree. Silently, he made his way up the tree and saw the girl, drawing in a sketchbook. His locket began to glow brightly and with a sharp crack, it opened. He gazed at the picture, and sure enough, it was the girl in the tree. The name read " Winter Oak".  He smiled and called out her name. Startled, she turned, revealing her dull grey heart. The boy tilted his head and sat closer, kissing her cheek and whispering sweet nothings into her ear. He knew she was the one. Suddenly, her grey colorless locket shone brightly, and turned gold. Her locket opened and revealed the picture. It showed the boy, and the name read " Tyson Morrow". She smiled and kissed him happily. The two had finally found each other, and now, they would never be apart.
