I walk steadily threw the forest, taking in the sounds of the night, bugs chirping, small animals wrestling through the bush and the fallen leaves crunching under my feet, I've been on the hunt for this one for years, the jackalope, as I walk I bring out my sketchbook and roughly sketch a picture of the Jackalope, with a charcoal pencil,
But snapped out of my trance by a sound of somthing running across the forest floor I put the sketch book back into my book bag, and get on my knees on the wet forest ground of leaves and grass,I sit there for a while, two glowing eyes pear back at me, I felt my heart skip a beat and my breathing hitch, "but this could be anything" I thought to myself but somthing told me to stay, and look stunned by shock I sat there as the eyes came closer it was much bigger then a rabbit, but horns peaked out over the bush, it raised its head, red eyes glanced down at me, it seemed like a wolf, but much bigger with large deer antlers, before another thought I basically jumped to my feet and begin sprinting back to my van, behind me I can hear it's heavy body shake the ground as it ran for me, It's breathing loud and heavy, my own being labored by the sudden flight, I finally make it to the parking lot, I turn back nothings there, The forest seems darker, like all the life left with me, I catch my breath, then a sudden pain on my arm like from the jaws of a large canine, I scream and the feeling of the teeth left my arm but the pain lingered, a phantom bite, I steadily look down Blood Trickles From my arm onto the Pavement Staining the ground a deep red.
