Jill walked into the class room and looked around.
'New year, new school.' She thought, remembering how each year her dad had to move for his job.
Glancing around the classroom, she spotted an empty seat and sat down. The teacher was at the front of the room talking to another student who was tall and had long blonde hair. Jill took off her backpack and unzipped it to find a book she got from her local library.
"Hey you, what's your name?" The teacher said, walking to the back of the classroom and stood next to Jill.
"Jill Jillerson." Jill said quickly.
The teacher flashed a glance at her before looking down at her clip board.
"Your seat is over there." The teacher said, pointing next to a girl with curly dark hair and smooth skin.
"Ok, and your name is..?" Jill asked as she stood up and grabbed her backpack.
"Ms. Bloode."
Jill walked over to the girl whom she sat next to. Jill opened up her book. It was the third book in the series and had took a dark turn at a mid point through the second one. Flipping through the pages, she was absorbed into the story.
...
"And what's your name?" Mrs. Brean asked Jill.
"Jill Jillerson." Jill answered.
Mrs. Brean looked at her list and looked back up happily at Jill.
"Nice to meat you, Jill!" Mrs. Brean said.
"Uhm, meet." Jill said uneasily. "Nice to meet you."
"Why don't you tell us something about yourself?"
Jill stood and looked around at her classmates, their eyes burning through her face and picking apart her appearance.
"My name is Jill."
"Anything else?" Mrs. Brean waved her hand stressfully. "Any hobbies?"
"I like to... read. And collect ants." Jill answered.
The class burst into laughter. Kids pointed at her and screamed, others whispered about her among themselves.
"YOU COLLECT ANTS?????? YOUR SO LAME!" One kid who introduced him as Ash laughed above the others.
"Uh, you're, first of all. Also I don't really have anything else to do. Dad doesn't let me do much." Jill said timidly.
Mrs. Brean struggled to calm the class down, and attempted to scream over the hysterical class. Jill's knees buckled and her palms became an ocean. Her eyes widened and she fell over.
...
Jill awoke in the nurse's office. She looked over at a girl sitting awkwardly in a chair, a boy with dirty blonde hair in another chair, and the nurse sitting at her desk typing on her computer.
"Good afternoon, Miss Jillerson." The nurse said.
"Where am I?" Jill asked as she wiped sweat off of her forehead.
"The nurses office. You passed out." She responded.
Jill recognized the girl in the chair as a girl from her home room and first period. Her name was Vivian, she had long dark blonde hair, always had on a hoodie, and beautiful blue orbs.
"I dragged you here. I think it's second period by now." She said.
"2nd period? Uh, let's go." Jill said and she quickly stood up.
"This sweet girl helped to drag you here, unfortunately your dad was unable to pick you up, so you may return to class." The nurse said in her raspy voice.
Vivian and Jill walked down the hallway together. Vivian looked out one of the windows and saw an empty garden that was filled with only small flowers.
"So, how are you feeling?" Vivian asked.
"Fine." Jill said.
"Ya know I almost passed out many times before."
"Ok."
...
A whole day of school passed, Jill met a few kids that didn't seem worth becoming friends with. Nothing note worthy happened other than her accident, all the teachers didn't teach anything, the kids didn't allow for anything to be taught, and Jill watched as her dreams of a new school year being better crumble away.
