In the Cullen garage, Jasper finally spoke up to break the deafening silence "I’ve had to fight our kind before. Not easy to kill."

Emmett heard this and immediately grinned in Delphine's direction "But not impossible. We’ll tear him up apart and burn the pieces."

Carlisle shook his head in seeming despair as he spoke "I don’t relish the thought of killing another creature. Even a sadistic one like James."

"But I do. He's so sick in the head it makes me want to bash it in" Delphine grinned, until she noticed her family's concermed look "Too much?"

Rosalie ignored the girl and looked at Carlisle "What if he kills one of us first?"

"I’m going to run Bella south," Edward tells them "you lead the tracker away from here."

Carlisle shook his head, immediately shutting down the idea "No, Edward. James knows you’d never leave Bella. He’ll follow you."

I’ll go with Bella." Alice spoke up as she glanced at Edward "Jasper and I will drive her south. I’ll keep her safe, Edward."

Edward only sneered and had a slightly disgusted look on his face "Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?"

Delphine looked at her brother with annoyance "Be nice, Edward. She's trying to help"

"I would be nice if she would keep her thoughts to herself" he hissed back through gritted teeth

"well she can't exactly do that when you're a mind reader, Edward"

Edward rolled his eyes and instead turned to his other family members "Rosalie, Esme could you put these on so the tracker will pick up Bella’s scent? He tossed Bella’s coat to Rosalie, but she quickly put it down

Rosalie scoffed and looked back at Edward "Why? What is she to me?"

Carlisle picked up the coat and glanced at Rosalie with a stern look "Rosalie, Bella is with Edward. She's a part of this family now.We protect our family" Rosalie only rolled her eyes and walked away

Delphine rolled her eyes at her sister's behavior "Give me the stupid coat, I'll wear it"

Bella gets into the car as Jasper and Alice prepare to drive off. Edward goes to her at the window. Delphine rolled her eyes, busying herself with putting on Bella's jacket. She knew the lovers were just having an intimate moment, but she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of loneliness while watching them.

Though they had led James away for a while, the Cullen's eventually caught on that he left, and was on his way to find Bella.

As Delphibe arrived at the ballet studio, she immediately ran to the balcony, intent on making sure her brother was alright.

Immediately after seeing her brother biting James neck, she dropped down onto the floor. She heard Alice and the others following her.

"JAMES STOP" She shouted, her gift allowing her to make him freeze in place. Delphine put her hand on Edwards shoulder "I've got this, go to Bella. She needs you"

"Carlisle!" Alice called, and he and Edward immediately sped over to them

"Start the fire" Delphine told Emmett and Jasper. As they worked, she stared at James, who remained frozen in place due to her gift "You messed with my brother. You're going to pay for that"

Delphine took a few steps away and ran at James, jumping into the air. She grabbed James' head and ripped it from his shoulder. She landed with his head in her hand, before walking to the fire.

The vampire threw his head into the fire, a sadistic smile on her face as she watched it burn.

Jasper and Emmett quickly tore apart the rest of James' body, throwing it into the blazing fire as well. Delphine smelled Bella's blood and grabbed Jasper's arm, dragging him away from the scene before he was able to smell it.

Delphine watched as Edward helped Bella get out of his car with a smile. Emmet had driven her and Rosalie to the school for prom, since Delphine didn't have a date. She was happy just to dance with her siblings that night.

Delphine adjusted her black mesh gloves before smoothing down her maroon dress. It was a gorgeous beaded gown that hugged her waist perfectly. The halter top left her arms exposed, and showed off the perfect amount of her pale skin.

Black curls hung to her waist, partially covering her face. She only wore light make up, but dark shadows and liner around her eyes. She glanced around with a smirk as she strutted into the school, ready to dance

Delphine scoffed playfully at the large 'Monte Carlo' arch, bypassing the photo stand as she watched the awkward couples

She smiled at Bella and Edward as they posed for pictures. She had finally began to accept the human girl, seeing how happy it made her brother to be around her.  She couldn't help but feel left behind as the last single family member of the Cullen family

But she pushed those feelings away for the night as the music started. She danced, laughed, and enjoyed the time with her family. Emmett spun her playfully and she laughed, her curls flying around her. The bad thoughts seemed to be long gone as she instead  focused on the simple, fun time she was having
