"It's going to be okay," Bea tried to reassured her, "We're here for you."

"I don't understand how it happened either," Sonya agreed, she felt so confused.

Nancy sobbed quiet into her hand, unable to comprehend the news. Bea was trying to find a way to comfort her, but she didn't know what else to say except expressing her disbelief at the news.

Sonya also sat in silence, feeling so stunned that she didn't know what to say.

Nancy cried, "I can't have a baby! the world... it's- it's no place for a child to grow up. We are under constant threat of the rebel groups, the scorch and the flare, the virus and the monsters, the cranks, oh—its not safe for my babe." She sobs, wrapping her arms around her stomach. Nancy seemed to get even more distressed as she thought about the world and how it was no place to raise a child.

It was true that there were many threats, but Nancy was a strong woman, and she was capable of protecting her unborn child.

"We'll protect the baby," Bea tried to reassure her, "We'll make sure nothing happens. We'll keep it safe, we'll figure out a way to help it thrive."

They would do everything they could to ensure not only her safety but also the safety of the baby's.

"I don't know what to do. Thomas is going to freak out when I tell him." Nancy sighed softly.

"He's going to be overwhelmed by the news, but he will come around eventually." Bea reassured her, hoping that Nancy would be able to tell Thomas soon.

Sonya agreed, she knew how much Thomas cared about Nancy and their child. He might not know what to say at first, but he would come to accept what was going on.

"Are you going to tell him today?" Sonya asked.

Nancy stayed silent. "Do you think I could do an abortion and remove the cells?"

Both Bea and Sonya were shocked by Nancy's comment, but they understood where she was coming from. This was a challenging situation, and they couldn't blame her for thinking about different options.

"I think you should talk to Thomas first," Bea replied calmly, "He'll want to be involved in this conversation. We can't make these kinds of decisions without his input."

Sonya speak up, having finally processed the question. "Nancy, you've got to understand, this baby is a part of you now. It's inside of you. Do you really want to do that?"

"I don't want to do it," Nancy replied, feeling conflicted, "but I'm just so scared. I don't know what kind of world I'm bringing this baby into. And I'm worried about all the things that could go wrong."

"What if I can't protect the baby? What if something happens during the pregnancy and I lose it?" Nancy continued, voicing her worries, "Or what if the baby comes out infected? It's all so uncertain, so frightening."

Bea couldn't help but to be honest, "There's a possibility coming from genes. I mean, Newt is your twin, and he's infected. Could it be pass down?" She wondered. Sonya looked worried.
