Chongshan rubbed his grey beard and appeared to be deep in thought.

"How did you appear so quickly earlier?" Chongshan verbalised his confusion.

Tong Yu did not hide this from him. "Miss Kim had instructed this subordinate to secretly protect you from any harm."

Chongshan shifted his questioning gaze onto Jennie. "Little girl, you knew beforehand that I would be in danger?"

"I didn't know." Jennie shook her head. "But just as Huang Zhishu and Somi said, a lot of 'strange' things have been happening in the Manoban family. I was worried and immediately thought of you first. After all, you're an elder and it isn't good for you to suffer any fright. Thus, I decided to let Tong Yu pay attention to your safety at all times."

"I think you were just trying to keep an eye on the elder," Somi mocked.

He then narrowed his eyes coldly. "If this matter is found to be related to anyone, punish them by death!"

Several people were left trembling in fright from his words.

"Understood." Two of the helpers waiting by the side stepped forward to move the body away.

Jennie was unaffected. "Hurry up and find out exactly who was behind this. It would be best if the instigator is dragged forward. We'll dismember them before burying them."

"Miss Kim, you can't push away the blame just by speaking harshly." Somi did not wish to offend Lisa and only said, "I believe that Cousin's people will investigate fairly."
