Shiv who was happy a minute ago sipping the water & waiting for his Sweetheart as he had planned to take her and Ansh out to meet Arav who insisted on meeting Ana & Ansh now felt like the fish teetering on the edge between water and sand. His brain realized it needed to be more careful with the ungrateful mouth especially around Den, while his heart reminded him his sweet little Jaan could turn into tigress any minute. Though her new demeanour intrigued him he still would walk on the precaution bridge.
Ana who already had enough tension on her plate now only wanted Shiv to disappear from her site not that she was unhappy to see him but Shiv's presence would only rile Den more and walk away from the problem and it would lead her to nowhere but the circle.
"Shiv," her voice came firm, yet her eyes retained a soft, happy gaze that conveyed everything to Shiv. Nodding in understanding and offering a reassuring smile, Shiv decided to give them space to clear the air.
"I'll just walk myself out" saying Shiv was about to head out but he stopped on his track when he heard "Stop" only to see Den, who tossed him a warning glare, daring him to make a move.
"Sweetheart, we can talk later I ain't going anywhere, but I think you need to address the business now" Den stated firmly before swiftly exiting the room, leaving no time for the other two to react. By the time Shivika could grasp the situation, Den had vanished from their sight.
'What on earth is happening?' Shiv's confused conscience pondered. He couldn't comprehend Den's sudden demeanour. The man who showed his displease & couldn't stand his presence had just left without any shouting or confrontation, contrary to what Shiv had anticipated after his little stunt. However, one glance at Ana, Shiv snapped to reality the only reason why Den walked out was just to avoid Ana. This only meant Den would rather bear his presence than face Ana's wrath.
What hit Shiv hard was the question: "What transpired during these ten hours that made Den so adamantly avoid any confrontation with Ana?" and the only one
person who could answer him now stood rooted to her placed
Leaving all the train of thought aside Shiv rushed to her side and hugged her, as soon as Ana felt the warmth of comfort she hugged him back
"Why won't he talk to me?" came her whispered question, shattering Shiv's heart as he knew he was the sole reason for the rift between them.
"Shh, sweetheart, I'll set everything right" he reassured her & took her to the couch, helping her sit, he gave her a glass of water & sat next to her.
