Chapter 3

After the Royal Rumble

I was walking out of the arena to the back where the cars of the superstars and the divas were. I had my Women's Championship on my shoulder. I had my bags on my back. I walked to Cody's car. I had to talk with him to see what was going on with him.He did not answer my calls at all yesterday. He ignored me completely. He also lied to me. I did not want to think the worse of Cody. I wanted to see if I could get the truth from him.

I reached his car. I stood in front the car waiting for him. I had my arms crossed over my chest. Cody came to his car about ten minutes later. I had this angry look on my face. Cody had this some what sad look on his face. Cody stood in front me.

I said, "I demand answers, Cody. Talk to me. Why in the hell did you not answer me? Why did you not even call me? Tell me. Tell me right now!"

Cody responded, "I was busy yesterday. I am sorry."

I asked,"Busy with what?"

Cody answered, "Just busy. It is nothing that you have to worry about dear."

I yelled at him, "Nothing I have to worry about? If it wasn't something I need to worry about you would tell me what it is. You are hiding something from me. I know that you are. You know what, I do not want to go home with you tonight. I am going to go with Randy. Enjoy your night alone." 

I walked away from him. He called out my name a couple of times but I ignored him. I continued to walk from him. I went over to where Randy's tour bus was. I decided to wait for him and see if I could travel with him. I was too mad at Cody to travel with him. We would be fighting all the way to the next city. That is something that I did not want to do. I wanted to give him time to think about telling me the truth. If he never plans on telling me the truth then I am going to have to end it with him. I do not want too but soon I may have no choice. 

Randy showed up this tour bus about five minutes later. He had this look on his face. I could not describe it but it was not an anger look on his face so that was a good thing. I think the look was a look of compassion like he knew why I was standing in front of his tour bus. Randy wrapped his arms around me. He pulled me close to him to give me a big hug. I hugged him back. He pulled away a few seconds later.

Randy asked, "Something happened with you and Cody didn't it?"

I responded looking at him, "Well yes, he did not tell me what he was up too so we got into a little scuffle. I told him that I am coming with you instead of going with him. Is that okay?"

Randy responded, "Yes it will be okay. I am sorry that you are having troubles with your relationship. I really hope that everything gets better. Maybe if you give him a day or two maybe he will realize he does need to tell you the truth."

I said, "Maybe you are right. We will have to see. Shall we get going?"

Randy said, "Yes we shall."

Randy and I got onto his tour bus.The tour bus drove off away from the arena as we sat down. The tour bus headed towards our next location which was Cleveland, Ohio for Raw. Randy and I sat down right by each other. I smiled at Randy as I closed my eyes to get some rest since I was pretty tired. I felt Randy place his hand onto my shoulder. He started rubbing it. I thought that it was kind of weird but I did not think too much in to it since it made me fall asleep quicker.

The Next Day in Cleveland, Ohio

I woke up to hearing my ring tone go off. My ring tone is Voices by Rev Theory. It is Randy Orton's theme song. I love his theme song so I made it my ring tone. I know that it is weird but it is a good song. I looked up from the couch to look at my phone. I saw that Cody was calling me. I decided to be nice and answer the phone. I grabbed my phone and clicked the button.

I said, "Hello. What do you want Cody?"

Cody responded, "I apologize for how I have been acting. I want you to come meet meet me for some lunch. I promise that I will tell you what I was up to.Please."

I answered, "Fine, I will come meet you for lunch."

Cody said, "Great. We will meet at Olive Garden.Does that sound okay?"

I said, "Yes it does."

"Good,I will see you soon then. I love you babe. I really do even though it may not seem like it." Cody said.

I responded, "I love you too."

I hung up my cellphone. Randy came up to me. He sat down right next to me. I sat up, looking at him. He motioned for me to come closer which I did. He wrapped his arms around me. He gave me a soft hug. I hugged him softly back. I pulled away a few seconds later.

Randy asked, "Who was that?"

I answered,"It was Cody. He was to meet for lunch. He is going to tell me the truth today."

Randy said, "Oh I see. I hope that it not too bad. I hope that the truth is something you can handle."

Isaid, "Me too. I think I am going to get ready."

I got up from the couch. I went over to my bag. I picked out a purple flowery dress. I went to the back of the tour bus to shower. Once I was done showering, I got dressed. I did my hair to make sure that I looked good for Cody. I put on some lip chap. I grabbed my purse. I told Randy that I would be back and got off the tour bus.

I went over to the Olive Garden. I opened the door to the restaurant. Cody already had a table. I went over to the table he was seated at. He got up from his chair. He hugged me softly. I would hug him back softly. He pulled away to give me a peck on the lips. He pulled out the chair for me to sit down. I sat down in the chair. I placed my purse right besides me on the floor. Cody went back to his seat and sat down. Cody handed me a menu. I took it from him and began to look through the menu.

Cody said, "I did what I said I did yesterday. I did go work out. I came back home after that. I did not answer your calls because I was doing some deep thinking. I was doing deep thinking on us."

I wondered what Cody meant by that.Was he thinking about if we were right for each other? Was he thinking that we should end the relationship? If he was doing some deep thinking, it was really serious. I hoped that it was nothing too bad.

I asked, "What do you mean? What about us were you deeply thinking about?"

Cody said, "I was thinking about how long we have been together. We have been together for about a year almost. I will continue my thought after we order and eat our food. I promise that you will find out today what I have been thinking about. I believe it would be better said after eating."

"That is fine. You better give me your thoughts after we eat or I swear I will be madder than anyone you have ever seen in your life." I said.

A waiter came up to the table and said,"Hello I am Marcus, I will be your waiter. What would you two like to drink?"

I said, "Some water please."

Cody responded, "A beer."

The waiter nodded and said, "What would you like to eat?"

Cody said, "Yes I would like the Shrimp Scampi Fritta classic."

I said, "I would like the Smoked Mozzarella Fonduta please."

The waiter wrote that down on his note pad and said to us, "I will bring your orders out as soon as I can."

Cody asked, "How are you doing today?How is Randy?"

I said, "I am doing better than I was.Randy is doing good I believe. He sounded like he was but I could be wrong."

"That is good to hear. I am glad that you are doing better. I apologize for making you pissed off. I should have told you the truth straight up but I wanted to give you a surprise."Cody said a bit sadly.

I responded, "I forgive you. I cannot wait to hear what surprise you have for me though. I am very curious."

Cody said, "You will find out soon I promise that to you."

The waiter came back with our food and drinks. The waiter put our orders in front of us. I started to eat my food as well as Cody. My food tasted so good. I took a sip of my drink after I swallowed my food. I went back to eating my food. I watched Cody as I ate. I kept wondering in my head what Cody's surprise for me was. If it is a surprise, it has to be something good.

[10 Minutes Later]

I asked, "Cody, we have finished eating. What is your surprise?"

Cody said, "I have thought long and hard about this. This is what I really want. I believe this is the right next move for us. I hope that you do feel the same as I do."

Cody got up from his seat. He stood right in front of me. He got down on one knee as he looked at me. He pulled a box out of his pocket. Could he be doing what he think he is about to do? Cody took a hold of my hand. He opened up the box. I could see a very beautiful ring. It had small rubies on it and a diamond in the middle.

Cody asked, "Christiane Lindsay,would you do me the honor of being my bride?"
