The next day, Tae seated on the couch of the Jeon mansion, surrounded by his family. His father engaged in a serious conversation with Mr. Jeon about business matters, their voices filling the elegant room.Tae was silently observing them as he remembered his father's stern warning "Only speak when it is necessary," echoing in his mind.
Suddenly, Mr. Jeon looked at his wife and softly spoke.
Mr. Jeon; "Please, go and bring Jungkook," he instructed his wife, a gentle smile on his face,
Mrs. Jeon nodded with a wide smile before leaving from there.
Tae's heart skipped a beat at the mention of kook. The mere mention of kook's name stirred butterflies in his stomach. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of his soon-to-be partner, Tae couldn't contain his excitement.
After what felt like an eternity, Tae heard approaching footsteps and looked up eagerly, only to lock eyes with kook, who was already gazing at him with warmth and affection. Tae found himself lost in kook's beauty, unable to tear his eyes away.
However, Tae's moment of admiration was abruptly interrupted when his father leaned in close, whispering harshly in his ear.
Mr. Kim: "Eyes down," his father whispered coldly in his ear.
"You're looking like a creep." he whispered harshly causing Tae to immediately lower his gaze in embarrassment.
Confusion flickered across kook's face at the sudden change in Tae's demeanor.
Kook: "Is everything okay?" he asked, his voice filled with concern as he searched Tae's face for answers who was looking down.
Before Tae could reply, Mr. Kim father interjected with a fake smile.
Mr. Kim: "Yes, everything is okay," he replied hastily, assuring kook that everything was fine.
But to everyone's surprise, kook calmly spoke up, addressing Tae's father directly.
Kook: "I wasn't asking you," he said coldly, catching Mr. Kim off guard as for the first time someone had spoken back to him, leaving him speechless and uncertain of how to respond.
Everyone looked at kook in shock, but he didn't not care. Locking eyes with Tae, who was looking at him with puppy eyes, kook couldn't help but coo at him.
Kook: "Are you okay?" he asked softly with a smile.
Tae: "Yes", he replied softly.
Both shared a loving smile, and then Mr. Jeon spoke up, breaking the tension.
Mr. Jeon: "Why don't you both go and talk with each other?" he suggested, encouraging their bond to grow stronger.
Kook eagerly nodded and looked at Tae, who softly smiled and nodded back, signaling his agreement.
With a silent understanding passing between them, they left the room without noticing tae's family who was glaring at tae.
----
Tae followed Kook into his room. He took a moment to admire the room, his eyes taking in every detail. Kook watched him fondly, a warm smile playing on his lips.
Kook cleared his throat, drawing Tae's attention. Tae looked up at him, captivated by the warmth in Kook's eyes.
Kook: "Hi, I'm Jeon Jungkook," Kook said softly, a gentle smile spreading across his face.
Tae felt his heart flutter at the sound of Kook's voice.
Tae: "It's nice to meet you, Jungkook. I'm Kim Taehyung", smile.
Kook smiled back. The air was thick with an uneasy silence, and Tae couldn't help but wonder if Kook was truly comfortable with this marriage.
Tae: "So, um, Jungkook... Are you okay with this? With us getting married?", gently.
Kook met Tae's gaze, and a gentle smile spread across his face. He nodded, his eyes never leaving Tae's.
Kook: "Yes, Tae. I'm more than ready for this", he said softly, his eyes twinkling with genuine happiness.
Tae felt a wave of relief wash over him as he realized Kook was truly willing to marry him, and not just being forced into it by his parents.
He couldn't help but wonder if kook would be able to give him the deep, abiding love he have been carving since childhood?
Tae shrugged off his lingering doubts and turned to Kook, giving him his signature boxy smile. Kook's heart raced as he took in the sight of his handsome features lighting up with happiness.
Kook: "Your smile is so mesmerizing, Tae," he said lovingly.
"It's simply captivating", dreamy eyes.
Tae felt his heart skip a beat at his words. It was the first time anyone had ever complimented his smile - his stepfamily had always cruelly told him that it was ugly.
Tae: "Jungkook, I..." Tae trailed off, his cheeks flushing with emotion.
"No one has ever said that to me before."
Kook reached out and tenderly cupped his face, his eyes shining with adoration.
Kook: "Well, they were wrong, Tae. Your smile is absolutely beautiful.", dreamy voice as he reached up to tenderly trace the outline of his lips
Tae felt a lump form in his throat as he looked into kook's loving eyes
Tae: "Thankyou so much " he said, his voice thick with gratitude.
Kook gazed up at Tae, his eyes sparkling with pure adoration.
Kook: "Tae, can I get your phone number?" he asked, his voice timid yet hopeful.
"I'd love to talk to you more and hear your soothing voice whenever I can until we are married".
Tae chuckled at his request and kook lovingly looks at him.
Tae: "Of course, Kookie," he replied, a warm smile spreading across his face.
Kook beamed with delight, his cheeks flushing with shyness as tae calls him kookie.
Kook: "Oh, Tae, thank you!" he exclaimed while giggling .
"I'm so excited to get to know you better", bunny smile.
With a loving smile gracing his lips, Tae eagerly pulled out his phone and exchanged numbers with Kook. As Kook took Tae's phone, he suddenly felt a surge of courage and, without thinking, leaned in to place a gentle peck on Tae's cheek.
Tae's eyes went wide with surprise at the unexpected gesture, but then he let out a soft chuckle, his heart swelling with affection for his soon-to-be husband.
Tae: "Kookie, you're too cute," he said fondly, reaching out to tenderly caress Kook's flushed cheek.
Kook ducked his head shyly, but the smile on his face made it clear that he was overjoyed.
