Hey besties, this is my first time writing a werewolf story as well as writing anything in a hot while, so be patient with me and excuse any incorrect grammar and/or word usage (English isn't my first language)! Anyway, I'm really excited about this story so I hope you'll like it!
I will update this whenever I have the time (computer science is kicking my ass)!

Iris
The clothes were all folded neatly on the damp early morning grass. Iris gently patted the pile and stood up from the crouched position she had been in for a short while. Was she really about to do this? Iris had never known this could've even been possible, to get away, but here she was, getting away.
A sharp sound came from the cabin behind the few tall trees shielding her vision of it. Iris shortly looked there, her animal senses working to identify the sound. It was the sound of loading a gun.
"Iris!" an ugly voice spat out from the porch Iris had been dragged in two years ago. "Don't think you can run away just like that!"
Mike was an awful man, the worst of humankind Iris had witnessed in her twenty-two years alive. He had shot her shoulder when Iris had been happily running in her home woods, chasing some wild rabbits without any intention of catching them. The air had been warm then, the summer nearing its end when the human had simply barged in and ripped her life to shreds. Nobody had come for her when she was in the bed of Mike's pickup truck, bleeding out. Nobody had come for her when Mike forced her to shift back into her human form and stitched her wound shut while she screamed like a dying animal. Nobody had come for her when his breath was on her nape and silent tears ran down her face. Nobody had come for her when she was chained to a bed, forced to stay in her more "docile" form.
Nobody had come for her in two years.
So she had planned and planned, carefully studying Mike's patterns, finding blind spots in his day to make her escape. And it didn't take long for the perfect opportunity to arrive. After Mike had gone outside to relieve himself, Iris broke her hand using her own weight and gruesomely managed to free her right wrist from the cuff. She didn't cry, barely even made a sound. After all, she had endured worse. So much worse.
Iris took careful steps up towards the main house from the cellar, mindful of the creaks on the second and third steps. The door to the living room had been left ajar from his last night's visit so she simply pushed it open and stepped with bare feet to the living room. The house stank of sweat and garbage, filth was everywhere. To her left was the back door, the door Mike never used unless going to the shed. Iris went there with silent steps, like a wolf walking towards its prey. And soon she was outside. Outside, in the open air for the first time in 734 days.
But she wasn't out of the woods yet.
"Iris!"
Mike's grating voice brought her back to the present. It was now or never. Iris started to shift, painfully feeling bones shifting and fur growing. It was going to hurt, Iris knew, it had been too long since she had last shifted. But she didn't have much time, so she forced the shift to go faster, her wrist throbbing as the bones worked hard to shape to the proper form. After what felt like forever, she was on four feet, well three on the ground and the front right paw lifted slightly into the air. How was she going to outrun him like this? Well, she had to at least try.
A shot rang out from behind which only made Iris go faster and deeper into the forest. She had never been here before, so she hoped she wasn't going towards a new danger. She ran with all her might, scenting the air at the same time to look for other wolves. Iris hoped they were the nice sort, she only ever knew her family as they were very protective of her and her brother, never meeting another werewolf because "you should never trust a wolf, they only seek power". But she had to be hopeful, she was too weak on her own and even one kind wolf could save her life.
