"Ehem.. Yes?" Nayeon cleared her throat that pulled me back to my senses.

"Sorry?" I said.

"Stop staring at me and just say you find your best friend cute and attractive." She boastfully flicks her hair.

"Eww." I showed her my disgusted face that was not my real reaction.

"Woah, stop lying!" She laughed and pushed me.

"Humble yourself grandma! You're definitely NOT my type." I stood up to go to the ice cream shop's restroom.

"Hey- You called me what?!" I could hear her shouting while I was walking away that made me laugh.

When I was inside the restroom, I let out a big sigh while looking at myself in the mirror in front of me.

"What the heck has got into you?!" I washed my face quickly with a running water through the faucet.

"Stay focused, Y/N. You're not liking her.. Know your boundaries." I reminded myself as I dried my face with a tissue napkin.

When I went back outside, Nayeon was already gone from her seat.

"Nayeon? Yah, Nayeon!"

I looked around but she was not everywhere. I also tried to call her but she was also not picking up her phone.

"Y/N!" Nayeon tapped my back harshly.

"Where the hell did you go?!" I was frowning.

"I hid from you~"

"Stupid.." I shook my head and walked away.

"What's with the attitude? Psh." Nayeon clings to my arm that made me flinch.

Nayeon always clings to me and I was totally fine and indifferent when she does it before not until now. It's really hard to hide these feelings.

"Girl," I looked at her weirdly.

"What? Do you not like this?" She asked.

"Don't come near me." I said and entered my car that was parked beside the shop.

"Yah, is there a problem?" Nayeon asked right after she sat on the passenger seat.

"Hmm? Nothing." I just drove.

"You're being weird. Have you already found a girlfriend?" She asked.

"W-What? I don't think that's relevant?" I chuckled.

"No, it is." She seriously said while removing her seatbelt to face me.

I was completely getting distracted. Why does she have to face me while i'm driving. My heart was racing that made my hands grip the wheels tightly.

"Of course not. Will you give me one?" I acted like I wanted her to introduce me to someone.

"Come on, you're lying." She rolled her eyes.

"What are you saying?"

"I'm not dumb? You keep pushing me away these days! When i'm trying to cling myself to you just like how we used to, you're distancing yourself like you are disgusted with me." She explained.

"Maybe you're getting stinky?" I joked.

"Oh, fuck off." She chuckled while insisting her own speculations to herself.

I was glad Nayeon did not ask anything else about my avoidance with her anymore. I bet she's certain to her belief about me having a girlfriend without telling her. I drove her home safely after a chill yet fun ride.

3rd person POV

Nayeon just woke up and she was planning to wash up later yet she was still lying on her bed. It was a sunny morning when she suddenly received a video call from Sana.
