Reet and Ved both speaks "I didn't started he/she is the one who started....!!!! Stop copying me....!!!!

Shalini laughs. "Silly you both"

"Huh" Reet said

"I think you should go to Neil... he didn't accept the fact of having two toppers..... Please go Ved and talk with him" Shalini said with a
concerned tone

"Surely I'll Shalini" Ved replied.

After that day.... Neil is studying in his bed room. Suddenly his phone started to ring..

"Who is it now?"

Neil picks it up and hears a familiar voice

"Hello Son.. How are you? "

"Daa--d daa--d" His voice trembled.

"Hello are you unable to hear me?? Hello?"

"No no dad... I can hear you clearly..."
Neil replied.

"So your teacher called me today and said you topped again in class"

"Yes dad"

~Inner voice of Neil~

So he doesn't know about two toppers... Thank god... Otherwise he would scold--

Neil couldn't think more... As his father said.......

"You're not only the one who got highest marks.. another 'girl' also got highest marks"

"Ahh.. yes dad-- don't wo--"

"Shame on you..!!! We are wasting our precious money on you where you're not getting the highest marks.. and sharing first position with a girl...
Where is your determination Neil Verma??? Huh??? You're not studying properly... How will you take care of your future????"

Neil was listening to his words with teary eyes.

"Dad I-i-"

"Don't call me dad... I want result..
This summer we are coming and will change all your schedule"

"Okay......."

His father cuts the call.

"After studying 16 hours a day is still not enough for my parents...."

Neil sit on his bed and cries.

"I don't know what they will do now...
I'm so lonely no one is there for me....
I - i - i - "

His breathing problem started. He took out  his inhaler and calmed down..

"Let's just sleep --- no I should study "
Neil mumbled.

Whole night Neil studied hard and he fell asleep in his study table.

Next day....!!!!

"Where is he? He never become late in school...." Ved said

"Hey Ved"

Ved looks at the person.

"Oh Hi Shalini...."

"What are you doing here? Where's Neil?"

"I was waiting for him.... but I don't know where he is--"

Ved couldn't complete his words as he saw Neil descending from his car. But his face looked pale as he didn't sleep enough last night.

Ved quickly goes to him and said, "Broo are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine"  Neil replied in a weak voice.

"Hi.. Neil" Shalini said nervously.

Neil looks at her and suddenly all his father's talk went through his mind.

"Not you again" Neil said and went inside the school.

"Huh, what did I do now?"

Ved said, "Don't worry everything will be okay..."

"Hope so" Shalini replied with a sigh.

Whole day... Shalini was looking at Neil and observing his behavior.

He become more cold after that day... I don't know why he become like this... just only for marks.... no that's not only the reason.... there's something else too and I'll know it at any cost

Ved asked Neil, "Bro what happened? Why are you so quiet?"

"I'm always quiet like this" Neil said by looking at his book.

"You're hiding things from me?" Neil knit his eyebrows.

"Aghhhh....!!!! So you know---"
