Olivia's P.O.V.
It was Sunday again, and again I was a bit sad for now I can't see Ace again. The past few months that I have been friends with Ace have been the happiest months of my life. I finally have someone, a friend, and he has accepted me. Yet, I guess I still haven't told everything about me yet. My past or reputation here he still doesn't know.
I want to keep things as they are just a bit longer and I don't want to lose my first friend. He is precious to me so, I don't want to lose him.
I was walking through the woods with Casper on my shoulder, heading towards my secret placed to go practice when I noticed something. There was a break in the trees and there was a little pond and I walked over towards. And there, was a small camp set up and someone sitting at the water's edge in a patch of flowers, his back turned towards me as he was making something. Right off the bat did I know who it was immediately, there is no one else in this town that looks like him.
"Ace?" I called out as I walked towards him. His head lifted and he turned, looking over his shoulder at me, confused.
"Olivia? What are you doing here?"
"Haha. I should be asking you the same thing. I am just taking a walk. I always do this on my Sundays."
"Ah. I see."
"What are you doing here? Camping?" I asked as I looked back at his camp.
"Yea. I got lost on my way home and just decided to take a break and stay here." He said ever so casually like this is only something normal. I sweatdropped and said,
"So this is normal huh?"
"Yuuup."
"Haha. Oh well. So what are you doing? May I ask?"
"Sit down. I'll show you." I did as he instructed and sat next him. Casper jumped down and went by the water and looked inside it, his tail waving as he kept watching intently. Probably looking for a fish.
"Is that your cat?"
"Yea. His name is Casper."
"Cool. Now, want to see what I am doing?" He asked as he smiled at me.
"Yea." Just then he showed me a beautiful flower crown that he had made. I looked at in awe.
"Wow. Pretty. I can never make a flower crown. I always mess up and ruin it. Hehe." I said a bit embarrassed, a blush creeping up on my face.
"Haha. It's ok. Here." He then put the crown on my head and my heart pounded so hard, as my blush deepened.
"A-arigatou gozaimasu." I stuttered. I feel so happy. So so happy.
"Haha. Why are you red like that. It's funny."
"H-hey. It's not funny." I whined. At least he doesn't know why I am truly blushing. I have found out recently that I love Ace and I didn't want him to know. Not yet at least.
"Haha. It is." He said now poking my cheek making grow a deeper shade of red, making him laugh even more.
"Heeeeeeey, you are so mean." I whined with a pout.
"Haha. Sorry sorry. Now, how about I tech how to make a crown now. You still want to know how to right?"
"Yea. Thank you again."
"Don't mention it. Now this is what you do..." Ace then helped me show me how to make a crown and it took me some time though but I got a hang of him it.
"Ace! Look, I did it! Yay!" I cheered as I showed him my crown.
"Haha. Yea. You did, good job." He praised me with a grin.
"Thank you. Here. You have it." I said with a smiled and but it on his head. He smiled and I don't know if it was myimagination or not but I thought I saw a faint blush on him as well.
"Thank you Olivia. I appreciate it." Just then we heard a splash and yeowl. Turning around we saw Casper soaked with a fish in his mouth, yet he looked unhappy as he sat there in the water.
We laughed at Casper who spat the fish out to the side and on land as he hissed. Telling us to not laugh. He got out of the water and shook himself off before taking the fish and running off.
"That is one weird cat." Ace said, still chuckling a bit.
"Oh, you should see how he really is. He is extremely different. Haaaa. Is it already sunset?" I asked as I looked up at the orange sky.
"Hm. So it is. Time does go by fast."
"Yea." I agreed with him as I looked up at the sky smiling. At the corner of my eye I thought I saw Ace watch me but when I looked at him again he was looking out at the water.
Just then I heard my stomach growl and I hugged it quickly hoping Ace didn't hear but he did. He smiled at me and chuckled,
"Looks like you are hungry huh? Well, let me see what I have."
"N-no, y-you don't have to do that. It's ok really." I protested but Ace was already and walking back.
"It's ok. I want to help you anyway. We are friends anyway."
Ace said over his shoulder at me. I smiled at him and thanked him as I got up and followed.
He is so kind to me. Why I wonder. Yet, I shouldn't care about the reason. The important part is that he accepts me for who I am and that he has befriended me.
"Olivia, you ok? You seem out if it." Ace said, breaking my train of thought.
"Huh? Yea. Just thinking."
"Ok. Hey, you like smores right?"
"What are smores?"
"You don't know what smores are?" Ace asked, shocked.
"Y-yea. Lets just say I haven't had many nice things in my life."
"Hm. Well, ok then. This will be your first time having smores then. Sit." Ace said with a smile as he patted a spot next to him by the fire.
I sat next to him happily as we roasted the marshmallows. He then handed me two graham crackers and a piece of chocolate. I then took a bite and was in awe.
"Oishii(delicious)!" I then started to eat it hastily, getting marshmallow on my nose and chocolate on the corner of my mouth.
"Mmmmmmmm." I said still thinking about it with a silly face on. Ace bursted out laughing and then pulled out a napkin.
"Here. You have a little something on your face."
"Hm? Oh. Hehe. Yea. Arigatou." I said awkwardly as I took the napkin and started to clean my face.
"So, do you camp alot? You seem experienced."
"Yea. I get lost ALOT." He said proudly and gave me a thumbs up. I sweatdropped and said,
"Uh, ok. At least you are ok with it I guess."
"Yup." He said with a goofy grin. Then, I started to laugh.
"Hey. What is so funny?" Ace asked with a pout.
"Haha. You. You are. Haha."
"Huh? How am I funny?" He asked confused now.
"Haha. Nevermind."
"Tell me."
"I guess it's your personality. It's funny. In a good way though. It just makes you kinder." I said as I smiled at him kindly. He too beamed back.
"Why, thank you very much."
"Haha. *yawn*. Oh. I am tired now I guess. I guess I should get going." I said and was about to get up when Ace said,
"Why don't you stay here? It is late afterall." Ace said as he leaned back on a tree, his hands behind his head, looking up at me with one open eye.
"Y-you sure?"
"Yea. Why not." He said with a smirk that made my knees feel weak and heart melt.
"O-oh. A-arigatou gozaimasu." I said politely and gratefully. I then made myself comfortable and laid down on the grass and got comfortable, dozing off, exhausted.
Then, I felt something warm and soft cover me, a blanket. Opening my eyes a bit I saw a cloaked man walking off holding the same sword as Ace. Yet, I couldn't do anything as I fell asleep immediately, being swallowed up in darkness. To be continued...
