I awoke at half past nine to the sound of my alarm I checked my phone to see a reminder on the front screen , 'Go shopping for thanksgiving' .
Tomorrow was thanksgiving and because I had recently , moved into a new apartment and got my self a car , my parents thought I was 'responsible' enough to host the annual thanksgiving dinner .
In other words my parents were to damn lazy to make the dinner this year so that task was put on my shoulders .
I wouldn't have minded if it was only cooking dinner for my mum and dad and my siblings but of course my family was very close which meant everyone aunt , uncle , cousin , granny and grandad attended the one dinner. It really didn't help that my mother had nine brothers . (A/N : True story bro 😏)
The worst of all was the fact that i was single and the youngest in my family being 22 , and the relatives were constantly trying to set mr up with all these men on blind dates because all my siblings were all in long term relationships .
I had three siblings Tara who was 29 and engaged to Mike who was lawyer , Oisin who was 31 and married and expecting and your eldest sister Jacinta who was 36 and she was married to a man named Josh and they had two children , twins actually who were two years old , Conor and Lucia.
I got out of bed and picked out my clothes for the day which was a pair of cream shorts with a blue top and my white converse .
I hopped in the shower and let the steam refresh my body I washed my hair with my strawberry smelling shampoo .
When I got out I curled my long blonde locks , grabbed my bag and hopped in my car which was a white BMW .
My first stop was 'Target' where I bought some festive napkins and table cloths .
Then I went on to the nearest supermarket , where I bought every thing I could possibly need to make the best dinner possible . My cart was full with everything from brussels sprouts which my cousin Amelia loves , to the turkey I was not looking forward to preparing .
When I thought I brought everything I could possibly need I headed to the checkout where my total came to $105.56 . As I was pushing my cart back to my car to fill the boot I felt a body crash into the cart hitting me in the stomach and pushing me backwards .
"Oh my God I'm so sorry love" a voice said . A blonde man came behind me and lifted me up off the ground where I had fallen due to the force of the push .
"Its okay , really " I said . I looked up to see a man around my age , he had sparkling blue eyes and gorgeous blonde hair ."Im Niall" , "Sadhbh" (A/N : pronounced Sive , like five) I replied.
"I always liked the name Sadhbh . Are you Irish ? " He asked genuinely intrigued . "Well all my family bar me were born in Cork I was born in California ." I replied "Oh thats cool , eh hey can I get your number Niall asked scratching his neck "Course" I answered taking the phone out of his hands . I typed my number and set my name as 'Sadhbh :))' .
"Okay well I've got to get home and start cooking for the whole family for Thanksgiving" I sighed "Ye same iv got to get home and watch my mum cook " I laughed "Can you cook?" I questioned "Yeah I can actually" he replied "Good cause I cant I said grabbing his arm"
He started laughing "How many people do we have to cook for ? " . "Eh 35" I said quietly "Wtf Sadhbh and its already 1 come on he said taking the cart out of my grasp and pushing it himself .
"Wheres your car ?" he asked . "Eh the white one right there I said running over to it to open the trunk" We started packing in the food and Niall went back with the cart so I could start the car .
"What about your car ? " I asked when he got it . "I walked " he smiled . We were home an hour later rather than the usual half hour due to the traffic .
"Your apartments cool Niall said running over and lying on the black leather couch "Oi , get your fat ass up we have dinner to make " I said raising my eyebrows . "Eh excuse me miss , i never agreed to anything " . "Well Niall will you get your fat ass off my couch and stuff that turkey , please ? "
He laughed really loudly at my response before getting up and stretching "All right chicken wing"
Niall stuff the turkey and I prepared the vegetables . "So Sadhbh" . "So Niall" I smirked . "Wanna play twenty questions ?" He asked . I laughed "Okay you go first" I replied .
"All right how old are you ? " . "Twenty how about you ? " , "Twenty-one" He replied . "Favourite colour ?" he asked "Green" I responded , "you ?" , "same" he replied . "Whens your birthday ? " I asked "September 13th you ?" . "October 6th ."Are you single" he asked "yes are you ?"."Yes " , "are you a virgin" He smirked "nope " , are you ?" . "Nope" He replied .
This went on for a while until we had as much of the dinner prepared as possible and of course the desserts .
"Wanna watch a movie ? " I asked "Yes" he smiled "Okay i'll go make popcorn and you can pick a movie "
I came back to the living room , and saw Niall looking at his phone . "What did you pick ?" I asked "Orphan" he replied . I nodded . Isn't that the really scary horror one , I thought .
I grabbed the blanket laying on the couch and waddled over to the other couch where Niall was sitting . I sat down a bit away from Niall do I wasn't touching me . The movie started playing and I noticed that I never opened the curtains this morning and Niall never bothered to turn on the light when he walked in .
Niall grabbed the top of the blanket from my hand and unraveled me from my cacoon . I looked up at him , "I'm cold to you know " He smirked . The blanket wasn't big enough to stretch to where I was sitting which forced me to move in right beside Niall , thankfully he didn't seem to notice .
The movie was going good in the sense that nothing that scary had popped up yet Then came the scene where the little girl murdered the nun .When she started hitting the nun with the hammer I screamed and buried my head in Niall's shoulder , not even caring .
He put his arm around my waist and kissed the top of my head , guess kissing your friends head when shes scared is a normal thing in his family . Not that I minded at all tho because to be honest even tho it has only been a day I think i've started to like Niall , a lot .
I looked up at Niall , and he turned his head to look at me feeling my stare . "You okay ?" He asked . I nodded "You sure because you seemed pretty sacred . "Im fine"
He smiled at me and moved a piece of hair , and tucked it behind my ear . "Your beautiful" he mumbled , my cheeks flushed a furious red . "No I'm not " I replied . His head snapped from where it was focused on his lap . "Yes you are and don't you ever think differently, Sadhbh " , I smiled "Thank you " . Niall's stare flickered from my eyes to my lips , mine did the same .
His body shifted so he was facing me . His head leaned in and I mimicked his action . As soon as our lips pressed against one another's electricity shot threw my body .
Our lips moulded together perfectly in a soft and gentle kiss . We finally pulled back our foreheads touching, heavily breathing .
"I like you a lot , Sadhbh" Niall said after a few seconds . "I like you too , a lot actually .
And that was the beginning of a beautiful relationship .
