POV: Amelia Grey
The entire time we were having our lunch the atmosphere was gloomy around me, making the lunch awkward as no words were exchanged between the both of us. I could see him glance at me again and again with a sweat-dropped face and I kept giving him death glares.
'I'm gonna leave as soon as I'm done with this lunch.' I think, There is so much food and it all looks so expensive that I can't ever think of leaving without finishing. "umm... Amy? I-" he speaks and I interrupt "Don't you dare call me that. It's Amelia to you. I did not grant you permission to call me Amy"
"yes I apologize for that. Amelia. Listen, I didn't think you wouldn't like this place so I'm sorry for not telling you before hand where we are going. I just wanted to surprise you..." Why did he say all that with a puppy about to cry kinda face...
I sigh, "you DID surprise me... and its not that I don't like this place, its just too much for someone like me. too fancy, too expensive, too elegant." . . .
"and so I accept your apology but just try not to do this next time." I say with a slight smile on my face which then turns into an annoyed look because of his reply.
"oh? so you expect us to have lunch together again?" he replies with a huge smirk plastered on his face.
"what? no thats not wha-" I sigh "I already regret forgiving you."
"oh don't be like that. you know you don't hate me."
"I hate you."
"no you don't."
"I HATE you."
"NO you DON'T."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . after a huge moment of silence we look at each other straight in the eye.
"pfft-" we both burst out laughing and somehow the rest of the lunch goes by smoothly.
-time skip-
After lunch he had asked if I wanted to go to the arcade but I refused as I had class. But upon seeing a disappointed expression on him, I promised him we could go to the arcade on Saturday if he was free and he immediately said yes.
He then got in his car and drove off after dropping me near the campus. I may not be good at knowing about cars but I can say that that was one expensive car. I wouldn't even question it if he turned out to be a prince.
And Right now I'm home with Evie, questioning my life decisions. sigh . . . I tell her about my day and her reaction is . . . well . . .
"OMG I can feel the love blooming from miles away!" Evie screams in my ears with excitement.
"There is no 'LOVE' blooming here ok?! I'm here wondering if I should die already! why would I promise that jerk to go to the arcade?!!!! I don't even know how to play any games there! it will be my first time to an arcade! Should I call and cancel? No, but then my pride is on the line!" I freak out cursing at my stupid past self to make such a dumb promise.
"Awww your first time to the arcade, with your future husband at that. It all sounds soooo romantic!" Evie continues with her imagination of my first 'love' though he is NOT. he is not 'any' love in my life! just a random stranger who broke my phone. Wait did he already pay for my phone with that lunch? . . . I mean that was one hell of an expensive lunch and I feel guilty . . . but . . .
"HA! as if there is someone in this world who would actually have a crush on this monster of a sister of mine." comments Ruth with a tone so annoying I throw my pillow at him.
Which ends up hitting the back of his head, cause right now he is playing videogames in my room even though he has a set up of his own in his room. we all know why so why bother asking.
Evie is so dense sometimes . . .
"Stupid idiot. you are one to talk, you can't even make it obvious enough for her-" I get cut off when my brother drops the controller on the floor and rushes towards me covering my mouth.
"How did you know?!" he huffs- whispering to me with a bit of an embarrassment expression and I take this as an opportunity. I smirk and reply "Every one except 'that' person knows. You are too obvious and she is too dense." I whisper so that Evie is unable to hear us.
"What?!" Ruth shouts enough for me to cover my ears and to get Evie's attention.
"???" Evie expression literally looks like a question mark right now "What are you guys whispering about?" she asks with curiosity.
"oh nothing, just that Ruth kinda has a cru- ow! ow! ow!" Ruth hits me with my pillow to stop me from speaking any further about his 'secret' crush.
"OH! Wait! . . .actually keep going, cause I'm gonna join!" Evie says as she picks up another pillow and also starts attacking me with it. "Hey, thats not fair!" I shout as I run away getting a pillow for myself and start attacking them. This freak out session of mine has now turned into a pillow fight.
Me and Evie then gang up on Ruth.
"Ok, ok, stop now!" Ruth shouts as we both stop attacking him ,falling, lying next to him on the floor Laughing our hearts out.
"Ok, so I was thinking . . . could you both come with me to the arcade this Saturday with him? I really will need you guys if I decide to run away half way." I ask them.
"I'm definitely running away if he finds out its my first time at the arcade." I cannot under any circumstances be embarrassed. What collage student would believe a 23 year old claiming she hasn't ever been to an arcade?
"Sure." Ruth replies with his eyes closed about to fall asleep.
"I don't mind but I'm sure he will be hella disappointed to see us and not 'only' you." Evie continues with her teasing and now I have given up on correcting her. 'Maybe he is just lonely you know? there is no way he likes me. . . right?'
'ba-dump' I jerk upwards, now sitting up with my hand on my chest. . . 'what was that just now?'
