Swara and Sanskar were called in the living hall, all the family members were gathered.
Dadi sa looked at them, "Swara, Sanskar ( "ji dadisa" said together), aaj tumhari pehli rasoi hai, hum jante hai tumhari pehli rasoi ki rasam ho chuki hai par iss haweli ki reet hai jab nayi bahu pehli baar aaye toh usse saare rasmein kara chahiye, or iss haweli ki riwaj hai ki naye jode ko sath mein milkar kuch meetha banana hota hai pehli rasoi ki roop mein" said making them surprised. Looking at their surprised faces, "yeh rasam hum sab ne bhi kiya hai, ab tum dono ki baari hai" said Brinda excitedly making others smile. Sanskar and Swara looked at eachother, "toh kya bana rahe ho dono" asked Brinda.
"Usse pehle inn dono ko iss rasam ki baare mein batana padega na Brinda" said Sujata, "ji badi jethani sa", "darsal baba sa (Ram's father) ke dada sa Raghuveer Maheshwari ne hamesha ladka or ladki ko barabari ka haq milye isliye kafi kuch kiya, jaise ladkiyo ke liye schools, unki choti umar mein shaadi rukhna, isliye unhone apne patni ko hamesha barabari ka haq diya, unki patni Rajeshwari Devi ki choti umar mein shaadi hogi di or unko khana bana nahi aata tha, sabke samne unka mazak na bane isliye dada sa ne yeh rasam ki shuruwat kiya" explained Brinda, Swara was impressed and amazed with the history, "wow Dada ji was a legend" said grinning making everyone look at her, Swara realised what she did, she bite her tongue muttered "sorry", Sanskar was smiling internally. "It's ok Swara" said Brinda, "bas kafi baatein hogi Brinda, Sanskar or Swara ko le jao" said Dadi sa, Brinda nodded and took them with her.
Entering the kitchen, Brinda showed them the ingredients, "all the best guys" said grinning and left. "Aap ki yeh wali chachi kafi cute hai", he nodded, "waise kittu ji aap ko khana banana aata hai kya statue banke kadi hone wale ho, bahar jaa ke credit lena phir", "kiddo I know cooking", "really", "yeah really", "dekhte hai, waise hum kya bana rahe hai", "tum batao", "hmm aap ki drag... I mean dadi sa ka favourite sweet dish kaun sa hai", "Dadi sa likes moong dal ka halwa, malpua", "ok malpua mujhe nahi pata kaise banate hai, so will go with moong dal halwa, or baki log ko pasand hai yeh moong dal ka halwa", "haan, Luv Kush ko nahi pasand", "no worries baccha party ke liye muffins" said excitedly, "khud bacchi hai dusro ko baccha bola rahi hai" muttered Sanskar, "aap nahi kuch kaha kittu ji", "no, pehle kya banana hai", "banana chocho chip muffins" said grinning.
Sanskar placed the ingredients, they started the process.
Swara was mashing Banana, her hair flicks were disturbing her, "kittu ji mere baal disturb kar rahe hai" said irritated, he looked at her, she looked cute with the annoyed expression, he slowly touched her cheek unknowingly caressed them making her breath hitch, her hands stopped. She closed her eyes due to his close proximity, he ever so gently moved her hair lock behind her ear, he looked at her smiled at his effects on her, "Kiddo aaj hi karna hai muffins" said with a slight smirk, she opened her eyes looked at his smirk cursed herself and got back to the work avoiding her glaze.
There was someone who looked at their closeness felt sting, with moist eyes moved from there hurriedly, another person saw it and felt anger on Sanskar, fisting hands left the place. (Guesses about both)
Sanskar helped her added in the ingredients in the batter on her instructions, they kept it for baking. Now they were preparing mong dal, during stiring, Swara touched the hot utensil and burned her finger, "ahhh" came a shriek, Sanskar held her hand under the running water, "aram se nahi kar sakti" scolded her, "aap daat kyu rahi ho ek toh mujhe lagi hai upar se aap daat rahe ho" said with a wobble chin, looked like she should cry anytime, "nahi daat raha baba you should be careful" said softly, she pouted, "now come here stand and instruct me, I'll do further" said, she nodded. As per instructions he made moong dal halwa and served in a bowl, took out the muffins, kept everything on the tray and moved out.
Seeing them coming, Luv Kush run and informed to everyone, everyone gathered on the dinning table.
