I can't believe how much I hate.
Pressures of a new place roll my way.
Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me.
Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me.
I crumble underneath the weight.
Pressures of a new place roll my way.
Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me.
Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me.I pulled the handle but the door was locked, I cursed before taking a small lock-picker from my pocket.
I was proud of myself for thinking ahead.
I played around with the lock a few times before I finnaly got the door open.
The cold air hit my face, the smell of the rain and the moss filled my nostrils.
I was home.
I looked around me, the landscape was barren and rocky, nothing but a small river leading away into the distance.
I expected the banditos to appear any minute, but ten minutes past, and they weren't there.
I started to get worried.
'they said they'd meet me on the other side'
Then the realization hit me.
It was a dream, a mere dream, the words spoken meant nothing, and the Banditos were not waiting for me.
I cursed myself for my stubidty.
But I was finally free, finally outside the walls.
I looked out towards the mountains.
The river that looked like it was coming from inside Dema ran straight into the mountains.
That's what I'd do, I'd follow the river.
And so I began my walk of freedom. Wearing a corduroy jumpsuit and a heavy backpack.
I had enough supplies in there to last me over a week, and I saw no sign of any bishops on my trail.
I was finnaly free.
I was finnaly not a citizen anymore.September 5th, 3000
If you need anyone.
I'll be right there.
But you'll have to grab my throat and lift me in the air.
If you need anyone.
I'll stop my plans.
But you'll have to tie me down and then break both my hands.I watched the sun drag it's self up from behind the mountains.
The sunlight trickled it's way over the peaks and into the valleys.
My first sunset of freedom.
I wish i could have appreciated it more, but I had been walking for hours and was beginning to feel the weight of my supplies.
About two houres after sunrise I finnaly made it to the mountains.
I took in my surroundings, I was next to the river, beneath my shoes were pebbles and stones, as I looked up, I could see that I was surrounded on all sides by cliffs.
This was the place from my dreams.
I sat down, exhausted by houres of walking and lack of sleep.
I swear I had only closed my eyes for a split second, but when I opened them, there they were.
Dotted around the tops of the cliffs, surrounding me.
They wore Yellow bandanas over their faces, and yellow tape on their clothes.
I stood up, and they watched me.
There had to be at least fifteen of them.
I knew they were the Banditos, they didn't have to tell me.
They didn't say anything, they just stared intently, like they had never seen somone like me before.
I wanted to speak to them, but I don't think they would have heared me from so high up.
Suddenly the air shifted, the mood became dark, I could hear a distant rumbling.
Nico ran into the valley.
He was riding a pure white horse, and it galloped trough the water faster than any creature I had ever seen.
The Banditos vanished at the sight of him, but I didn't move.
Somthing about his presence bound me to the spot.
His horse came to a sudden halt just inches away from my face.
Nico looked right into my eyes, and I knew I had to come with him.
He turned his horse around and started walking back in the direction of Dema.
I followed.
We were about the get to the mouth of the velley when I saw the Banditos appear at the tops of the cliffs again.
I looked to the skies, massive vultures circled above us.
Somthing told me to turn around and run.
I morphed, I'd be faster that way, and I started running as fast as I could back into the valley.
Nico turned his horse around and took chase.
But I had a new speed.
My four legs carried me faster then two ever could.
All my senses were inhanced, as if I had just notched up the graphics in a video game.
I could easily notice all of the tiny details of my surroundings.
It was like I could almost FEEL the landscape around me.
Then I relised the valley was a dead end, a cul-de-sac.
In front of me was a steep, unmoving cliff.
I looked down as Nico's horse approached me.
Yellow flowers covered the riverbanks, the same shade that the Banditos wore.
They came from behind me, massive wolves, I counted fifteen of them.
They made a line between myself and Nico, growling and snarling.
Nico's horse panicked.
It reared up on its hind legs, and whipped around, terrified.
He did his best to turn it back around, spurring it in its sides and pulling the reins.
But the horse was more afraid of the wolves then it was of Nico.
Eventually he let the horse win, and he galloped back to the mouth of the valley.
Two of the wolves chased him to make sure he left.
I stood, speechless.
The wolves became people again, and it must have triggered a chain reaction because I also did.
They stared at me, their bandanas covering half of their faces like masks.
"Are you the Banditos?" I asked.
They didn't answer.
"I'm Clancy" I told them, "I escaped from Dema."
they didn't answer.
"Are any of you named Joshua Dun?"
At that, one of them stepped forward.
"Me... I'm Joshua Dun"
He was almost foot, with broad shoulders, his hood was up, and his bandana was over his face, he wore the same yellow tape on his clothes that the rest did.
"I had a dream about you," I tell him, "you told me to escape Dema, before it was too late."
"we know who you are." said a women as she stepped forward to stand next to Joshua, "the prophecy foretold of you."
"how did you find me?" I asked, "How did you just appear like that...?"
"We were here the whole time, you were asleep, " said one.
Josh Dun came forward and put a hand on my shoulder.
He spoke softly into my ear.
"Time to wake up."Spirits in my room, friend or foe?
Felt it in my youth, feel it when I'm old.
Jumpsuit, jumpsuit, cover me.
Dusting off my jumpsuit, cover me.
