The water stain on the ceiling is growing, I tried to ignore the shouts from downstairs.

"You need to grow up." A stern voice shouted.

"Get off my back." My older brother said. I tried to drift back to sleep. The softness of my blankets rubbed against my cheek and I sighed in content. The shouts seemed to subside after a door opened and slammed. Almost there. Traveling through the blackness towards unconsciousness. Almost reaching my goal of sleep. I smile happily as I finally reach my goal.

A sharp pain spreads throughout my side. I suck in a breath and my hand immediately goes to the throbbing pain. A poke. Another jab to the sore spot. I mumble a string of incoherent curse words to the causer of the pain.

A low laugh reverberates from the other side of the room. I immediately turn around. I didn't recognize the voice and was terrified. Thinking my dad brought home another bimbo I flicked the person off. She was probably drunk and half naked. Wait that didn't make sense. The same low voice laughed again and poked my side. It was hard to see in the thick darkness but I was pretty sure it was a guy. Sitting up quickly and pulling my blankets around me I whacked myself in the face and cried out in pain. A hand reached out and rubbed my chin gingerly.

A low voice spoke. "You okay there, princess?" I shudder. His hands are grimy and hoarse full of calluses. His hands repulse me but at the same time I feel a small spark run from his fingertips, through my chin, and down into my heart. I struggle to see through the darkness. This is a perfect time to have those night vision googles, actually it's always a perfect time to have them. Except in daylight.

I can feel his hot sticky breath on my cheek traveling to my lips. My heart races and my blood courses through my veins. Every sense of mine is heightened. I can hear the pulse in my ears. The rising volume in his voice drags me back to reality.

"What did you say?" I squeak out a whisper.

"I asked if you seriously don't know who I am." A thick layer of annoyance is audible in his voice.

"I have no idea and you are really freaking me out." I start thinking of all the worse case scenarios and the worst would be him finding my secret stash of SweetTarts underneath my mattress. If he lays on finger on my SweetTarts I will rip this man to shreds. That laugh again. Low and scratchy at the same time.

"Your boyfriend sent me. He told me not to scare you otherwise he'd deal with me. But I wanted to have some fun," another low scratchy laugh, "please don't tell him. I don't want to die." It was my turn to laugh. A full out laugh attack too.

"How'd you get in my room, Mike?" Mike is the best one out of them all. He's good. He's not like everyone else. You could say he's the goody two shoes that never wants to get in trouble. How he ended up in my boyfriend's group of MMA fighters and gang members is beyond me. I'm sure Mike knocked on the front door and talked to my father to get in, he was a gentleman and over all nice that way.
