It was dark outside as the sun began to set, Aphmau was in the backseat of Zane's car lost in thought while Kc and Zane chatted about the events of the day. Zane wasn't too happy about losing the lifeguard competition, Kc was trying to assure Zane that he did his best and that's what matters. Normally Aphmau would be chirping into the conversation, but she was too busy thinking about what all had happened today.

"I'm a lifeguard" I thought, I haven't really had a job before, not to mention one so serious, saving peoples life is a big responsibility. There's no room for mistakes, I remembered back to how I saw someone drowning and thought they were fine. Even though I was able to save many other people today, I couldn't shake off the feeling that I could have let someone die, "if it wasn't for Ein, who knows what would have happened..." I began to clinch the shell Ein gave me, as I was thinking about everything I finally snapped back to reality after hearing Zane call my name.

"So Aph, what do you think?" Zane asked with slight annoyance

"Huh?" I murmured

"Do you think I did well in the competition?" Zane sounded more annoyed now

"Well i mean you did fail almost every challenge" I said with a laugh

Zane grunted in annoyance and began to focus more on the road again. Kc looked as if she had been thinking about something, I didn't quite know what until she spoke.

"So Aphmau! How do you feel about being a lifeguard now?" Kc asked with joy in her voice

"Well, It's definitely hard work, but i really enjoy it!" I replied with the same tone

"That's good! It seemed like you and that lifeguard were getting along very well!" Kc said with a giggle

It had become clear what Kc was thinking about, It was obvious Kc liked Ein. Not only did she call him hot multiple times she also wouldn't leave him alone at the beach, What sucked was the fact she thought we were dating! I think Zane started to pick up on it too as he tried to change the topic by talking about mittens and how he saved her from running away. i started to lose interest and went back to my thoughts.

i thought about what Kc said, "I dont get why Kc thinks i like Ein! All we did was get ice-cream together! I mean yeah we were with each other all day but that's because i was getting trained!" I held the sea shell Ein gave me to my face, I slightly blushed when I remembered the comment he made when he gave me it. "I saw this shell and thought of you! the color reminds me of your eyes" Ein was super sweet, no one has ever done that for me before, it was nice. Before I could finish thinking I heard the car stop and Zane tell us that we are home.

-They rode the elevator until they got to their apartment floors-

As I walked to my room I said my goodbye to Zane and Kc thanking them for the beach day, as I went to unlock my door I noticed it had been unlocked. "Did I forget to lock it?" I thought to myself before I saw Kim open the door. She is stealing my stuff again, I sighed as i asked her what she was doing, knowing her answer.

"Hey Kim.. whachaa doing..?" I asked a little startled to see her

"Aphmau!" she exclaimed in shock

"What are you doing back so early.." she said nervous

"Kim it's sunset.." I said a little worried

Before she had a chance to respond i asked her why she was in my room once again, She tried avoiding the question but eventually she told me why.

"Ugh, Fine!" she said in defeat

"I was taking some things so I could make potions." she finally admitted

"Kim, you know you could have just asked?" I said puzzled

"Yeah but stealing's more fun! anyways thanks for the stuff!" she said as she ran off to her room

There was no use in chasing after her, so I just went to my room to see all she took. It wasn't much but I just don't get why she couldn't have asked, But to be fair no one else does, They always take my things without asking! It's annoying but I guess that's what I get for renting an apartment with my friends.

I start to get ready for bed, Afterall I have a big day tomorrow. "First day as an official lifeguard" I thought, Im just glad Ein will be there to help me out just in case anything goes wrong. I put the sea shell Ein gave me on the counter "I better set my alarm, tomorrow is a big day."
