Several hours passed since Dan found Stinkapoo with his wrists slashed. The group worked together as best as they could to help him. He had been moved to the infirmary, where all his friends were gathered around him waiting for him to wake up as he was still unconscious. The atmosphere was heavy with worry and tension. Dan, Lily, Charlie, Fluff, Rubin, Colin, Ethel, Audgrey, Taylor, Chloe and Sam were all gathered with concern on their faces. "I-I can't believe we almost lost him" Whispered Lily, her voice trembled. "We did everything we could, now we just have to wait for him to wake" Replied Dan, gripping Stinkapoo's hand. Colin looked at the unconscious Stinkapoo, tears streaming down his face. "Why didn't he talk to us? Why didn't he let us help?" He spoke.
"He's been carrying so much pain. We all have" Said Charlie softly. "We need to make sure this never happens again," Taylor added, her voice resolute. "We have to be there for each other, no matter what." Ethel, who had been tending to Stinkapoo's wounds with Audgrey, spoke up. "He's stable for now, but we need to watch him closely. If he wakes up, he might need more than just physical care." Fluff nodded, "We need to be ready to support him as much as possible. He's our family." Rubin, standing by the window, looked out at the sunrise, "We're going to get through this. Together." Everyone nodded in agreement. There was a moment of silence as everyone reflected on the situation, the gravity of what had almost happened sinking in. They all knew that things would have to change, that they would need to be more vigilant and supportive. Dan squeezed Stinkapoo's hand gently. "Hang in there man" unsure whether he could hear him.Another half hour passed of the group gathered around him and before they knew it Stinkapoo's hand began twitching. Everyone's attention snapped to Stinkapoo as his hand began to twitch and his eyelids fluttered. Dan, who had been holding Stinkapoo's hand, felt the movement first."Guys, I think he's waking up," Dan said, his voice filled with cautious hope. The room grew tense with anticipation as they watched for more signs. Slowly, Stinkapoo's eyes opened, blinking against the harsh light of the infirmary. He looked around, disoriented, his gaze eventually settling on the faces of his friends."Hey... hey man, can you hear me?" Dan asked gently.
Stinkapoo nodded weakly, his voice barely a whisper. "Y-yeah... where am I?". Tears welled up in everyone's eyes. "You're in the infirmary, you're okay now." Spoke Lily. "We were so worried about you man.." Sighed Charlie. "I'm... sorry," Stinkapoo managed to say, his voice cracking with emotion. Dan leaned in, his face serious but compassionate. "You don't have to apologize. We're just glad you're still with us." Stinkapoo's eyes filled with tears. "You're not alone, we're all here for you, we're a family" Smiled Audgrey. Stinkapoo sighed. Ethel checked Stinkapoo's vitals, relieved to see that he was stable. "You're going to be okay, but you need to rest." She explained. Stinkapoo's eyes grew heavy and he drifted back to sleep as he was weak, the group exchanged relieved glances. They knew the road ahead would be challenging, but they also knew that together, they could face anything. Dan looked around at his friends, a sense of determination settling over him. "We'll get through this. We'll take care of each other. No one has to face their demons alone." He smiled with hope and so did the rest of his friends. "You guys go and get some rest, I'll stay with him" Insisted Dan to all his friends. "Are you sure Dan? I can stay too." Asked Lily. "Nono it's fine, go get some rest, we'll all talk tomorrow" Returned Dan and he kissed her. Lily nodded, giving Dan a reassuring squeeze of his hand before she and the others left the infirmary. The hallway was quiet, their footsteps echoing softly as they made their way to their respective rooms. As the door closed behind them, Dan pulled up a chair next to Stinkapoo's bed, sitting down with a sigh. He watched his friend sleep, the steady rise and fall of his chest a comforting reminder that Stinkapoo was still with them.Meanwhile, in the dimly lit hallways, the rest of the group walked in silence, each lost in their thoughts. Lily couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and lingering worry for Stinkapoo. She knew they had a long road ahead to help him heal, both physically and emotionally. Charlie wrapped an arm around Taylor's waist as they walked. "It's been a hell of a day," he murmured. Taylor nodded, "Yeah, but I think we'll be okay. We've got each other." "Exactly," Chloe said, her voice filled with resolve. "We've been through so much already. We can handle this." Sam smiled and nodded in agreement. As they reached their rooms, everyone exchanged quiet goodnights, each person retreating to their own space with a renewed sense of hope and determination.
