Just A Feeling (BxB)

Chapter 1

I sat there in the busy mall food court in a
daze. I was called here by a few friends
earlier this morning, still groggy I sipped
my caramel ice coffee and stared off into
space, a habit I found myself doing way
more often. Spring break had just started
and ive been spending my free time here when i had the chance so coming here
today wasn't so bad if it wasn't for the fact i had been woken up earlier than usual, i
laid my head in my hands as last night's dream kept replaying in my mind. I was
falling off of a building in some town, I don't remember much of it just bits and
pieces, sounds of screaming and the smell
of ash. but I remember being caught by
another bear, but what stuck out to me
was his messy brown fur, Strong arms, And most importantly those dark
eyes..Gosh I can just sit there and stare at
them for hours.
"...Are you even listening Ben?" My ears
twitch as i turn my head, earning a sigh from the purple Bunny, One of my closest childhood friends, Charlie had a skinny yet muscular build, His green and red eyes looking at me in annoyance. "Hm?.." I replied in an attempt to shake off the dream from last night. "..Really? As I was saying..Jenn and Hunter were thinking about heading downtown Later, Wanna come?" I place my hand on my chin in an exaggerated motion "..Sure!" He sighed "..Might want to get your elbow out of your toast first Ben" I stand up quickly before grabbing a nearby towel "Damn! Now my fur is going to be all sticky.." I grumbled "Well, Make you'll pay more attention next time instead of Daydreaming" He said as he grabbed some little alcohol wipes from his pocket and began wiping the jelly from my elbow "..Stop trying to lick it off Ben!..What were you Daydreaming so intently about anyway?" He added after a moment after putting the now dirty alcohol wipe into the trashcan nearby.

"Come onnn Charles- It wasn't that ba- Okay! So basically from what I remember there was this fire that was spreading through a building I was in" Charlie pulled his seat closer as I continued "At one point I fell through a window, it was one of those dreams where you are falling really slow you know?"  "Mhm- Keep going" He had his notebook in front of him, a sigh escaping my lips before I started again. "It was right when I was about to hit the ground that I got caught by this random bear- but dudeee when I tell you I still get goosebumps thinking about it! He was soooo cute!!" My tail started wagging just from thinking about it, Causing Charlie to stare at me deadpan.
"..Please tell me you're not already crushing on a bear from your dream. He probably doesn't even exis-" I placed my hand over his mouth quickly, earning a glare from Charlie "Dude don't Jinx ittt!" I Replied quickly as I moved my hands away.
"..Your hands smell like Jelly..Gross" I laid my head on the table and groaned. "I was talking about my dream bear and all you focus on are my jelly hands?!" "..Yes"
I looked up at him "Alright. I'll bet $20 he's real." Charlie's ears perked up instantly "Oh you're so on!!" I look past Charlie to see his Boyfriend by the exit, Waving his hands in our direction.

"...Nick is calling you-" I said after a moment as Charlie stood up quickly afterwards. "Shoot! I'll see you later Ben!!" He ran off quickly towards his boyfriend, A small yellow bear in a jacket and sweatpants despite the warm weather outside, Leaving me at the table by myself.
"...Great..now what?" I sat there for a moment before facepalming "...Great going Ben..Now you're talking to yourself" I sigh and picked my bag up from the chair, turning around to exit the Mall food court, Almost bumping into a random bear in the process "Shit- I'm sor-" My heart skipped a beat as my eyes met with his as he walked away from me and blending into the crowd "holy shit.." It was him- The bear from my dream..Charlie is so going to owe me $20 after this, I looked over near the exit and saw my friend hunter, A red fox with an eyepatch and a soft pirate accent, quickly making my way over there as i moved throught the crowd

If anyone can tell me who that bear was it was him, He knows everyone! "..Who was that?" I asked him after giving him a description of the bear I saw, Not mentioning the dream I had last night. "Aye- Do not know actually Lad..Perhaps he Moved here recently?-" My shoulders sagged a little before he continued speaking once again "But..Aye do know he works at a Diner in town, Maybe ye could try and give that a try?" "Oh! Thats..a perfect idea!..Wanna come with?" "Aye don't see why not" I smiled as we walked out of the Mall and outside, The smell of Cinnamon tickling my nose As we walked by the numerous shops and stores
in town, This part of town I had never really walked by before so this was all new to me. I pulled my jacket closer to my body as we arrived at the diner

A bright neon sign illuminating the ground nearby. "Here be the place Lad, Aye come by here quite often." Hunter said as we went through the front door, Small chatter and laughter was heard from a nearby booth. Hunter and I slowly made our way over to a nearby table carefully trying to avoid the crowd of people cramped within the diner, bumping into a few people as my ears lowered slightly. "S-sorry- Hunter where did y-" Before I knew what was happening I had slipped on some spilt coffee on the floor, Time felt like it was slowing down and out of instict I had closed my eyes tight and braced for impact yet it never came. I had slowly opened my eyes after a few moments, hearing the sound of silverware hitting the floor, my heart skipped a beat as I felt warm hands around my back, Looking up I felt myself Freeze for a second, my breathing slowing down as my face heated up, leaning over me was that bear from earlier, Holding my body close to his chest as he Slowly helped me to my feet. "S-shit I am so sor-" I started speaking but stopped for a second, noticing he was staring at me before he Pulled a slip of paper out of his apron and headed back behind the counter once I was finally seated. "...Holy shit-" I placed my head on the table as my tail started wagging. "..Lad are ye okay?-" Hunter looked at me and then his gaze shifted to the paper in my hands "What's that?" I look up slowly before unfolding the paper in my hands "..it's a free meal voucher-" He looked at the paper himself to check "Aye didn't know they still had these! I have been coming here for months..The Lad must have felt bad for ye" I wasn't really listening at this point, My mind already replaying that scene in detail, The warmth of his body, His Gentle touch..The smell of Cinnamon..A small blush forming on my face as I looked up again. "Hey Hunter?" His ears twitched as he looked through the menu "Aye? What's up?" I shifted in my seat for a second "So um...Can you Send me the location of this place later?.." He chucked softly "What? Are ye planning on coming back to run into that bear again?" My breath caught in my throat as I coughed "I-i! No!..Maybe.....Okay yes!" He nodded slowly "..Aye figured. Okay, I've send ye the location. I will see you tomorrow Lad" He got up slowly before taking his food to go, Patting my shoulder as he left. Once again I was left alone for the second time today with my thoughts, Which was quickly interrupted by someone taking a seat across from me. "Dude!! Are you alright? That fall could have been nastyyyy" I looked up to see Jenn, Another one of my best friends. The yellow chicken had a apron on as she poured me another coffee which i immediately added creamer and sugar into, it wasnt ice coffee but it will do for now. "Hey Jenn! I didn't know you worked here" I smiled softly at her company, I could always come to her if I was having any trouble. "I've been working here for about 2 years now-" She said as she poured herself some coffee as well, How she can drink black coffee and enjoy it i will never know, After a while my eyes looked over to the counter, My ears lowered slightly in disappointment from no longer seeing the bear there. "He clocked out a few minutes ago, Left some coffee cake on the counter for you" Jenn said as she started closing the diner for the night. "F-for me? Why..and who is he?" I slowly stood up as I helped her put some dishes away "Oh, I'm guessing he figured you were hungry, I mean you haven't really ordered any food, Just coffee- And to answer your other question, His name is Stiles, He's not much of a talker..As for his outfit- Management Said it could bring more customers..They were right of course, Hope that doesn't bother you Ben" She said with a smirk on her face, My face felt hot as I realized my head was against his chest earlier, quickly grabbing the coffee cake from the couner as i made my way back into the kitchen where Jenn was standing by the backdoor with keys in hand."S-stiles?..Does he...Work here often?" We made our way through the backdoor and around the front as she locked the door. "..Every day, Except for Saturdays, Why? Got a crushhh?~" She teased as I pulled my hood over my face in response "..OH MY GOD BEN YOU DO?!" She yelled out after a few seconds "S-SHUT UPPP- im going homee" I quickly waved goodbye and made my way back home as the sun slowly started setting, Already making a mental note to stop by again soon as my tail started wagging from the thought, Besides its not so bad it's just a Crush, One I'm sure will go away just as most of mine do but only time will tell, I unlock the front door and make my way inside, My dog Cloud running over to greet me, The fluffy white samoyed was given to me by one of my friends Graves before he moved, I smiled as I gently threw a ball across the room before slipping off my shoes and hoodie I made my way into the bedroom, Taking my shirt and pants off and folding them into the laundry basket before laying into bed, placing my phone on the drawer beside me as I plugged the charger in. The events of today started to catch up to me as I closed my eyes silently Hoping to continue my dream from last night as I smiled softly, Sleep soon over taking me as I subconsciously buried my head into the pillow, Already excited for tomorrow.
