*Delilah's POV*
You know what I don't understand?
The look coming from Calvin to Brian while we're having our bi-weekly family dinner.
It's been 3 months since school started.
Brian and I had our first date at the carnival, a few more after that, and he's been my boyfriend now for 2 months and I've been loving just simply saying the word boyfriend.
But to the look from Calvin.
Confused as hell.
He has barely said a word to me since the first day of school, I get raised eyebrows, little laughs and stupid smiles, a hi, and that's it.
Even when we're hanging out with the group he wont sit anywhere near me.
"So." John cleared his throat. "Brian, it's nice to have you tonight. How long have you two been going out?"
"A little over 2 months now Mr. Truitt." He smiled.
"Well that's great. I've always liked you Brian. Calvin here, I think he has a girlfriend now, right?" John looked at him.
"You do?" I raised my eyebrows.
Brayden choked back a laugh. "If that's what you want to call it."
Calvin just glared at him. "Shut up."
"Is that why you haven't been coming around so much Cal?" My dad smiled.
"I uh. She's not my girlfriend." Calvin shook his head.
"Fuck buddy." Brayden fake coughed.
Calvin looked at him and shook his head.
"Brayden." John sighed.
"I'm sorry, Calvin what kind of buddy?" My mom held her hand up.
He pursed his lips and nodded. "She's just a friend."
Brayden choked back a laugh and my mom just looked at John.
He shook his head. "I have no clue what I'm doing Carol."
She sighed and closed her eyes.
"So, I think I should probably head home." Brian grabbed my hand. "I feel like this is a family thing."
"Brian-"
"It's ok." He kissed my cheek. "I'll call you later." He smiled. "Carol, Don, thank you for dinner." He got up and ruffled Brayden's hair. "See ya kid. Bye cal, but Mr. Truitt."
"Yeah bye." Calvin rolled his eyes and Brian walked out of my dining room.
"Delilah, Brayden, can we have a moment?" My mom pursed her lips.
"Yeah." I shot up and grabbed the back of Braydens shirt.
I literally dragged him to myh room and slammed the door behind me.
"Spill, right now." I crossed my arms.
"You already know." He nodded.
"No, I don't. Calvin hasn't talked to me in months Brayden. Is it Shawna Lile? I saw him and Shawna at the carnival." I nodded.
He sighed. "You're smart."
"So he lost his virginity to a 10th grader?" I shook my head.
He scrunched his face and shook his head. "Spill, right now, or you are going to have my size six foot in your anal cavity Brayden."
And there I sat, listening to an 11 year old go over everything I missed over the summer and the last few months.
A stranger in Barbados? A random girl on the beach?
