Lydia sat next to Beverly on a stool as Bill pointed at the map. "T-t-t-t-th-that's where Georgie disappeared." He pointed towards the storm drain. "There's the Ironworks and The Black Spot."
Lydia took a moment to examine the map.
"Everywhere it happens, I-it's all connected by the sewers." Bill announced. Lydia started to get a weird feeling. "And they all meet up at -" Bill was cut off by Ben. "The well house!" Ben exclaimed.
"Okay, that's really freaky. Don't you think?" Lydia asked out loud. Everyone nodded in response.
"That's the house on Neibolt Street." Stan spoke. His voice was wobbly. "You mean that creepy ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?" Richie questioned. Eddie then took a puff out of his inhaler. "I hate that place. I always feel like it's watching me." Beverly said.
Lydia gave Eddie a worried look.
"I pass that house on my way to school." Lydia announced. "That's where I saw it. That's where I saw the clown." Eddie wheeled.
"Th-that's where it lives." Bill announced.
Eddie took another puff from his inhaler.
Lydia started to get a sinking feeling in her stomach. She didn't know how to get rid of this eerie feeling.
"I can't even imagine anything wanting to live there." Stan voiced. "Me neither. It's just so... eerie." Lydia spoke. "I agree." Ben and Mike said in unison.
Eddie jolted out of his seat and stood in front of everyone. "Can we stop talking about this? I-I can barely breathe! This is summer! We're kids!I can barely breathe! I'm having a fucking asthma attack! I'm not doing this!" Eddie's words were going swiftly to where the others could barely comprehend what he was saying.
Eddie then ripped down the map. "What the hell! Put the map back!" Bill exclaimed. Eddie shook his head. "Eddie, what are you doing?" Lydia asked the boy.
Before she could get an answer, the projector started switching between photos rapidly, but they weren't just any photos. They were family photos of Bill's family. Memories from before Georgie went missing.
"What's going on?" The Berman girl asked. "I-I-I-I d-don't know." Bill answered.
Soon, it landed on a photo where Georgies hair was spiked up from the wind, and Bill's mothers hair was covering her face from the wind as well.
It started to zoom in on Georgies face. It then transitioned towards Bill's mothers face. Each time the projector clicked, it zoomed in more on her face, and somehow, each time it zoomed in, her hair would be more out of her face.
Everyone was starting to get more freaked out by it.
Soon, her face was replaced with the clowns.
Everyone started shouting and yelling for someone to turn it off.
"Turn it off!" Beverly yelled.
"What the fuck is that! What the fuck is that!"
"I don't fucking know!"
"Turn it the fuck off!" Lydia freaked out. She was terrified. They all were. They became more frightened as they saw the clown smirking at them through the screen.
Lydia went up to kick the projector but chickened out, so Mike went over and kicked the projector to the ground, causing the screen to tilt and the clown to disappear.
Lydia sighed of relief, thinking that it was over. But it wasn't. The clown had reappeared. The projector started clicking again. On the third click, the clown was gone again.
The room went entirely dark before the clown had suddenly popped out of the screen completely.
They all started to scream louder as they scrambled around the room, trying to get away from it. They had all gone to a corner of the garage except for Lydia and Bev, who were trapped against the wall on the other side.
Lydia didn't want Beverly to get hurt or killed, so she grabbed Bev and shielded her from the clown as it got closer to the two girls.
Ben quickly opened the garage door, letting the light in, causing the clown to disappear.
They all started to breathe heavily.
Once Lydia let go of Beverly, Bev instantly hugged her tight. "Why did you do that?" Bev whispered in Lydia's ear. "I was trying to protect you." Lydia whispered back.
The two girls let go of each other and headed over towards the others. Beverly thanked Ben for opening the garage door as Richie wrapped Lydia into a hug. "You could have died." Richie whispered after he let go of her. "We all could have." Lydia whispered back.
Richie was genuinely worried about what could have happened to Lydia. He cared for the girl even if he hadn't known her for a long time, but he knew he could trust her.
"It saw us! It saw us, and it knows where we are!" Eddie exclaimed. "It always knew." Bill replied. "S-so let's go." Bill said as he walked out of the garage and towards his bike.
"Go? Go where?" Ben questioned. "Neibolt. That's where G-G-G-Georgie is." Bill announced. "After that?" Stan asked.
"Yeah, it's summer. We should be outside, and plus, Lydia almost fucking sacrificed herslef." Richie spoke. "If you say it's summer one more f-f-fucking time..." Bill paused.
He then walked over and grabbed his bike. He got on it and started pedaling off. "Bill! Wait!" Bev called out for him.
Lydia didn't even think twice before grabbing her bike and pedaling off after him.
