Day 1:
-Are you ready?
-Yes, I am ready.
As I agreed to the "cure", my collegue plunged the needle in my skin. It hurted, more then any other vaccine, but it was over pretty quick. I waited a little bit, sitting in the chair, left with only thoughts. I thought of how quick the secondary effects kicked in, only after some seconds, I was already not hearing anything and seeing dark. After some minutes that felt like hours, it finally became normal. I went to my desk to grab my stuff and finally get home. You might wonder what did I have? Well, I had a rare disease, so rare I got to name it, that makes the host have random genetic modifications, worst part, it's imprevesible. I went back to my home, went to my bed and just fell asleep.
Day 2:
Once I woke up, I went to make myself a cup of coffee. I was so tired, even more tired then I went sleeping. Today felt off, everytime I walked, I felt like something was off. Like if there was something else that shouldn't be there. People kept on looking me weirdly, like if I was circus monster. I did not think much of it. Since I got the week off, I went to the store to grab some stuff. I don't know why, I had a huge craving for fish. So, I took some, even sardines, which I despise. After I got out of the store, I've realised I pretty much only took fish things. I went back to my home, again, turned the TV on, and went to prepare dinner. Like you could have probably guessed, I had fish for dinner. So yeah, that pretty much resumes my second day. I am probably gonna go sleep again.
Day 3:
Oh god, I woke up and I got huge back pain, my throat is incredibly sore right now. So much I sometimes hear some weird sounds, really not normal human sounds. Almost like a sick cat trying to purr. Walking feels even more off. I went to go take a shower but the feeling of the water falling on me was really painful. I still decided to force myself to take it. I looked behind to the mirror, removed a bit of the fog on it. And... What the... No wonder why I was getting looks off by people, my teeth are really sharp, I got some pretty fluffy hears, a bit of fur growing, and a tail, it was huge. I decided it would be good if I stayed home today, I was probably just hallucinating anyways. I hoped I was. I also decided that it would be better if I talked to no one about it. I don't want to attract too much attention. I opened the news station, there was a reportage about some locals seeing a "monster", wonder whom this might be? It might be out of the blue to say that, but I wish that the tail is not an hallucination, it's kind of comfy rolling it around I. I decided it would also be a pretty good time to go sleep, I felt really tired. I checked the time, it was only 18:32. Must have not slept too well. So, I stayed up a bit, went eating some fish. I did the laundry also, loaded the dishwasher and started it. I finally went near my bed and just fell asleep in less then 1 minute.
Day 4:
Finally, I woke up with a nice feeling, nothing, well, almost nothing seemed off, my back wasn't hurting but my throat still made noises each time I was feeling good. I guess some things just never changes. I went checking again on the mirror, the fur has spread even more. I can still cover it up tho. For the hears and tail tho... I don't know how I could cover them up. I tried to cover it a bit, I really wanted to go outside, so, I went walking a bit, I got near a park, I saw some benches, so, I sat on it. Once again, I think I did not do a good job at covering things, alot of people were looking at me. So much infact, one of them treathened to call the cops...
Day 5:
I went to check on the spreading again, it was worse, I was just barely able to hide this time. The tail became a bit bigger. I don't have alot to say about this day, it was relatively chill. Anyways, that's pretty much it for today.
Day 6:
Like yesterday, I went checking. It was way worse, I think I might be in the last stages of it. My hands are covered of fur. A redish looking one. My break is almost over, how should I explain that to my bosses, I'm sure they'll understand. I went outside again. I also came across the protogen, we exchanged socials. Pretty good day in other terms. The back pain is now gone for good. I feel pretty energetic and healthy. I also feel a bit stronger. Anyways, probably gonna go sleep, it was a pretty quick day.
Day 7:
Well, the changes are now over, I became a feline looking creature. Anyways, I went back to my office, got some weird looks from colleagues... Really weird looks. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to do some tests on I. Well, at least I didn't become a living creature of random genetic deformations that might have potentially altered my ways of thinking. No, I just became a furry looking creature. Oh, by the way, forgot to talk about it, the diseease I had would have made me think like a zombie. Soooo... Yeah. Oh, my boss wants to talk, so, I'm gonna stop writting and come back.
*As I looked around the office, after our talk, I find a note...*
