Tokyo 20XX, 20th Ward. 7:30 PM.
The always busy streets of Tokyo were never silent, though as noisy as it is. The spectacular lights always brought the American comfort. He stood outside of his apartment complex, periodically checking his phone for the time. He was waiting on his childhood friend to come over so they could go to one of their favorite spots in Tokyo. Aiden glanced down at his wrist; seeing the all green light of a device he's had stuck on his wrist since he was five-years-old. His blue eyes would perk up as he heard the sounds of footsteps coming towards his direction.
"About time, I've been waiting for you for fifteen minutes."
"Well Sorry! I was trying to get my makeup on." Nifa retorted.Aiden rolled his eyes, popping a smirk and putting his phone away.
"For fifteen minutes? Man I'll never understand why you would spend that long doing makeup."
Nifa just shook her head, she knew she would never get him to understand whatsoever. Oh well.
"So, you need anymore time or can we head to where we were planning to go?" Aiden asked her, perking his eyebrow.
"I figured you would already be heading to Anteiku without me."
"Nah, It feels nicer to go with you."
"Aww are you confessing now Aidey?" She teased him, causing his face to turn slightly red.
"W-What!? N-No of course not! I'm not even interested in a relationship!"
She giggled, smiling at him and patting his back.
"I know, I'm just teasing you Aidey." She once again said his nickname, once again making him somewhat flustered.
"You know I don't like that name." Aiden sighed, looking at the sidewalk. "Come on, We have burned enough time."
She nodded at what he said and the two would begin to walk down the sidewalk, unaware from the rooftops they were being watched by a few spectators. Before Nifa could look up at them, they vanished before her eyes. She squinted for a few seconds before Aiden spoke up.
"Something wrong?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No.. Nothing at all."
Nifa responded to Aiden, giving him a reassuring smile so he wouldn't get spooked. He was a tad bit confused on the way she acted looking up at that rooftop. Almost as if she saw something there. He decided not to press upon the matter further, after all. It was going to keep them from arriving at their destination before they closed.
Nifa couldn't help but feel a bit shaken by the feeling of them being watched from above. Though nonetheless she kept her demeanor unreadable from Aiden by standing behind him.
It wouldn't have taken them long to go through the city. A few people took a glance at them, though like usual no one paid them any attention. Aiden walked in front of her and opened the door.
"Welcome to Anteiku!" A blue-haired Waitress chimed as the two entered into the Cafe.
Immediately she recognized Nifa and Aiden. Smiling at the two and having them sit down at a table.
"So, would you two like your usuals?" asked the blue-haired waitress."Yes please Touka." Nifa replied to the waitress.
Aiden sat across from her and glanced out the window. The TV within the cafe started to once again talk about Ghouls. Aiden rolled his eyes, getting tired of the constant talking about these Ghouls.
