Let's Be Friends

Part 1

Monica sat in the chair watching the other kids watching TV, talking, or drawing on paper. She had never been a full-time mental hospital patient, let alone be this far away from home with no family or friends.

"Yo! Is she in this unit?!" A girl with brown hair and an AC-DC t-shirt asked the nurses while pointing at Monica.

"Sit back down Sadie," The nurse replied, the girl ignored her and walked over to Monica.

"I'm Sadie, and don't worry, it's pretty chill here!" Sadie said, smiling at the anxious and scared Monica. 

"Sadie! I said to sit down! Mind your own business!" The nurse snapped.

"All right! I'm going" She smiled before turning around and walking back to a group of girls.

A few seconds later, Monica gets called into a room, where a nurse asks her questions before telling her to go join the other kids. Monica walks over to the table where Sadie and some other girls were sitting.

"Hey, I'm Monica," She said softly.

"Hey, I'm Skye!" A girl with long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes replied. 

Monica waved before taking a seat. They talked, asking Monica what happened and how she ended up there and what to expect on the daily. 

"All right everyone! It's time for showers." One of the councilors  said "the bed furthest to the door showers first then the bed after, I'll come in and check on you every 10 to 15 minutes."

"What bed is yours?" Sadie asked.

"The one closest to the door" Monica replied.

"We both are on the further bed in our rooms, we'll see you after showers." Skye said. 

"Oh, okay!" Monica nodded as the two girls left to go shower.

After Monica showered, they were all sitting at their table drawing and talking. Around 8 or 9 pm, the councilor went back to the front of the room. "All right everyone it's bed time. Make sure you check up with the board to see what room you're in and who's you're roommate then get to sleep!"

"Night Monica," Sadie and Skye said before walking down to their rooms.
