It was just another day at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for Hazel Haskett, but it seemed that fate had other plans for her. As she went about her usual routine, tending to the various marine creatures and helping visitors navigate through the facility, she began to feel a familiar sensation creeping up on her. Her stomach churned, her head started to ache, and before she knew it, she was doubled over in pain, clutching at her midsection. "Uh-oh," she mumbled, realizing with a sinking feeling that she had somehow managed to catch the stomach virus that had been going around lately.

Hazel knew she had to inform her father about her condition, but she didn't want to worry him too much. After all, they had enough on their plates already, what with the recent arrival of the new  dolphin and all. So, she decided to tough it out for a little while longer and try to make it through the rest day. "Come on, Hazel, you can do this," she muttered to herself, taking a deep breath and forcing herself to stand up straight. "Just focus on taking care of the animals and keeping everyone safe, just a few more hours..."

As the day progressed, Hazel did her best to hide her discomfort from her colleagues and the visitors. She forced a smile and continued with her duties, doing her best to maintain a sense of normalcy. However, the stomach virus was relentless, and it wasn't long before she could no longer ignore the pain. Her energy began to flag, and she found herself making more mistakes than usual. As she is about to feed winter sawyer came over and took the bucket of food away from hazel "hazel what are you doing! Sawyer yelled "you can't give winter apples that is for the turtles."

"Sorry sawyer, I went to feed the turtles and got distracted." She lied, her face flushed with embarrassment. Sawyer eyed her with concern, taking in her pale complexion and the way she was shivering slightly. He knew that something was seriously wrong with her, and he didn't want to see her like this. Without another word, he turned and walked to dr clays office.

Clay was filling out paper work when he heard a knock at his door. "Come in," he called out, not looking up. The door opened, revealing Sawyer with a concerned expression on his face. "Hey, sawyer wh.." he stopped has he saw the turtle food bucket in Sawyer's hand. "Sawyer you know you only work in the dolphin area, what are you doing with the turtle food, you know that can kill them right" he asked, confused.

"Well, actually, sir, that's why I came to talk to you." Clay eyes widened "did you give apples to the dolphin? Did you touch her? Is she ok? Did you hurt her? Did you... oh, God, Sawyer, what have you done?!" he exclaimed, sounding more and more panicked with every question.

Sawyer shook his head quickly, trying to reassure his boss. "actually I saved her from the apples." He explained. "What do you mean you saved her from the apples?, wait so you didn't feed her the apples, then why do you have the turtle food?" Dr.Clay asked, thoroughly confused. "I am trying to but you keep interrupting me" sawyer said now annoyed. "Sorry, please go on, what happened next?" Dr.Clay said in a calmer voice.

Sawyer took a deep breath and continued. "So, I was walking to check on Winter when I saw Hazel trying to feed her some apples. Now, we all know that dolphins can't eat apples, right? So, I thought it was strange. But that was not the first time I saw her making mistakes today, early today I had to correct her twice about the temperature of the water for the dolphins. Anyway, I walked over to Hazel and told her that she shouldn't feed the dolphins apples and then I took the apples away from her."

"And then what happened?" Dr.Clay prompted, leaning forward in his chair.

"Well, after I took the apples away from Hazel, I asked her why she was trying to feed the dolphins apples in the first place. She said that she was on the way to feed the turtles but distracted, so I started to walk away and then I thought hold up wait a minute something ain't right, we just feed the turtles a few minutes ago." Sawyer explained. "Then what happened?" Dr.Clay asked, "then I came and knocked on your door and tried to tell you but someone kept interrupting me." Sawyer said annoyed again. "Ok, ok, calm down. So, you suspected that something was wrong with Hazel. Did you notice any other symptoms?" Dr.Clay asked, concerned.

Sawyer took a moment to think about it. "Well, she's been a bit clumsy today, making more mistakes than usual. And she's been shivering a lot too. It's not like her to be this uncoordinated or unwell. But the thing that really made me suspicious was when I asked her about the temperature of the water, and she got really confused. It's like she didn't know what she was doing."

"Hmm... that does sound unusual." Dr.Clay frowned, deep in thought. "Alright, I'll go and check on Hazel. In the meantime, I want you to keep an eye on Winter and make sure she's doing okay. If you see anything out of the ordinary, don't hesitate to come and find me. Is that understood?" He said, looking Sawyer straight in the eye.

Sawyer nodded solemnly. "Yes, sir. I understand."
