I was rushing to catch the train since I was late to open up the cafe, ever since manager left for maternity leave I was put in charge of the cafe until she comes back and it was quite a rollercoaster. You have customers that shout at you for getting their order wrong or throw hot coffee at you for taking time to give it to them and I have experienced all of it. Once I got on the train ,I sat down and put my airpods into my ears and played some Lana del Rey.
Once I reached my destination,I got off the train and rushed up the staircase that leads to the cafés street. I checked the time to see that it was exactly 6:30am and my coworkers and a few customers were waiting for me to open up.
"You're late" Melissa laughed as I opened up the cafe
"I'm sorry,my roommate knows how to throw a party" I laughed and we got inside
"So you were part of the partying I see" Ricky smirked as he budged my soldier.
"No I wasn't,you know me and Patricia are very different people" I laughed
"She's the partying and travelling best friend whilst you're the bookworm and rather stay at home best friend " Melissa laughed
"You are very very different but you go so well with each other" Jackie my other coworker smiled
"Alright enough about me,we have customers and we have to start serving them" I chuckled as I put on my apron.
"I love your outfit today by the way,so vintage " Ricky cheesed
"Well thank you,I definitely love my vintage style" I laughed and I went to the front alongside with Melissa as we were working the front whilst Ricky and the others were in the kitchen.
We served the first 10 people who were out the front when I got to the cafe first. Everyone definitely seemed to be on a rush to work.
"Look who just walked in" Melissa whispered in my ear and I turned around to see the same arrogant ass Christian Kim, doesn't care about anyone but himself.
"I got this" I whispered and I went to take his order as always
"Good morning,what will it be today" I smiled politely
"The usual" Christian shrugged and I just rolled my eyes and went to make his usual vanilla bean espresso.
"You really got this under control" Melissa laughed
"Don't push it" I laughed and once I was done making the coffee,I gave it to him
"Thank you" he shrugged and he gave me $100 and left the cafe.
"Such an asshole" I rolled my eyes
"He is a very sexy asshole" Melissa chuckled making me hit her shoulder
"Did I just see Christian Kim?" Ricky laughed as he walked out of the kitchen towards us
"In the flesh" Jackie laughed
