Andrea's POV
"What will you kids have for dinner?" Mrs. Lopez asked.
"I don't think any of us have any appetite when they are out there," Lydia said, walking downstairs.
"Are the kids asleep?" She nodded her head and took the empty seat beside me.
"How are you holding up?" I asked.
Lydia sighed. "I don't know, to be honest. I am very scared, and I just want them to come back as soon as possible."
"You kids don't need to be scared and stressed out," Mr. Miller said, walking into the living room, with Mr. Lopez agreeing with him.
"And most importantly, don't starve yourselves, especially Jerry and Olive. Both of you have kids growing in your body. It's not good for either of you to not eat," Mrs. Miller said, getting up from the sofa, with Mrs. Lopez following her.
"We will only take a maximum of 20 minutes to cook dinner. I expect all of you to be there," Lydia and Lila stood up.
"Let us help you." Both of them said.
"Nonsense, sit your asses down and let us do our work," Mrs. Lopez said, and both of them walked towards the kitchen.
"That woman scares the shit out of me sometimes," Sarah muttered, all of us in the living room chuckled.
"I support you on that," Mr. Lopez said in a whisper-like voice, hoping his wife didn't hear it.
"I heard that," we heard Mrs. Lopez's voice from the kitchen.
"I love you, honey!" he screamed back at her.
God, to say that he is the Elder vampire, he is still scared of his wife.
A loud crying and screaming voice made all of us alert and stand up. Lydia and Sarah ran and made a beeline towards the stairs but were stopped by Mr. Lopez.
"Wait, Lydia."
"Honey, someone's here," Mrs. Lopez walked in with a worried look, with Mrs. Miller behind her.
"What do you mean someone's here?" Lila asked with a worried tone.
"I smell an unknown vampire scent." At that, everyone's face turned pale. Vampires and kids were crying.
Without thinking, Lydia ran upstairs followed by Sarah, Lila. I and Mrs. Miller tried to stop them, but it didn't work. Nearing by, bursting through the open door, the view in front of us scared the shit out of me.
Chloe with the unknown vampire was holding Rose and Ben as captives in her arms while Charles and Rach were standing in front of Claire and Parker, protecting them.
"Daddy!" Parker screamed for Jacob.
"What do you want?" Lydia screamed at them.
"Let the kids go," I said, holding my gun.
"Nah, nah, Andrea, don't even think about it. You take out your gun, Ben and Claire will die." Chloe said.
"No," Lila screamed in anger, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Mommy, I am scared," said Claire.
"Don't be scared, Claire, I am here. She will not hurt you. I promise," Rachel said.
"Oh, look at that, big sister. Then I should just kill you. How will you protect her?" Chloe said, handing Ben to the other vampire and walking towards her.
Lydia screamed no, but then in the split of a second, Rachel pulled out a wooden stick from behind her and threw it at Chloe, which was the one-second distraction we needed for Mr. and Mrs. Lopez to attack, and I shot my gun at both of them to weaken them.
