New chapter ! I hope some of you are still reading this, I feel like a lot of readers have lost interest.

It's really the feedbacks and reviews that keep me writing, so I'd love a bit of support and reviewing.

Thanks to all my loyal readers !

I am realising after having seen a few reviews of Aladin that this chapter specially and this era of the story is turning a bit like Disney's Aladin, with Eda sort of like a princess, Serkan as the poor lover, her father as the wealthy aristocrat and the vilains, it wasn't intended that way haha. I hope its not too cliché on that side.

Happy reading !

....

Octobre 1945, Istanbul.

"I always knew Eda was bold but I never knew she was involved in something so heroic." Melek let out as Kiraz told her what she had learnt from Ceren, briefly.

"Me too." Kiraz let out, a few days ago she was sure Eda Yıldız had harmed Armenians, and the woman had actually risked her safety to protect them.

"So you don't hate her now ?" Melek asked softly with hope, whatever and however Eda was, she didn't deserve hate from her own daughter.

Kiraz exhaled. "No. I think she was just a complicated woman, she did what she could." She accepted and then looked into her bag, getting out the picture of her parents she had.

She knew it was reckless of her but Kiraz was impatient and she didn’t knew why she felt such an attachement to the flower ring.

"This ring...it was her engagement ring. My father had gifted it to her. Do you know where it could be ?" Kiraz showing the picture to Melek.

Melek looked at the picture, her heart melting at how happy and in love Eda was. She inhaled.

To Kiraz's surprise, she called for her eldest daughter. "Zeynep!!" Melek called again and the young girl made her way inside, tensing at seeing Kiraz there, she wasn't too fond of the snobbish French girl and didn't like the way she spoke to her mother.

"Effendim Anne ?" She asked dutifully.

"Bring your diamond set please, bracelet, necklace, earrings, all of it. And bring my butterfly broch too." Melek instructed and Kiraz frowned.

Zeynep watched Kiraz suspiciously and obeyed. As she brought the jewels, Melek opened the box showing expensive jewellery to Kiraz, and slid it towards her on the table.

"This is the only jewellery I have from Eda. She had gifted the set for Zeynep and the broch to me, the very last time I saw her. They're yours." Melek let out with a sad smile and she heard Zeynep gasp.

"Ama Anne - " She protested.

"Sus Zeynep, don't argue. They're her mother's belongings." Melek pressed.

Kiraz shook her head, she wasn't here for jewellery or money, she had no interest in Eda Yıldız's wealth.

"No, that's not what I meant asking you for the ring, it has a sentimental value to me, I don't want these, if she gifted them to you, you should keep them." Kiraz shook her head, wondering how a ring she didn't even remember ever seeing made her feel so attached emotionally, maybe because it tied Eda and Serkan together ? Did she already get this attached to them ?

"You never told me a woman so rich gave them to me." Zeynep let out astonished, to Melek.

Melek smiled with nostalgia at her. "Infact, Eda saw and held you. When you were born, she brought you so many gifts, blankets, beanies, clothes, toys, she was so happy for me. She's the one who gifted us your crib, she got it specially crafted for you." Melek recalled with a sad smile. "I had never seen any one do so much for a maid's child, a girl that too."
