Chapter eleven: upset

Lux's POV:

Janis kept me with her for the entire day. She kept holding me close to her for hours until I started smelling like her.

I was conflicted. I loved to be close to her but the way she made it happen was unsettling to me. Her protection started to suffocate me.

She insisted that I should sleep at her house again but I actually managed to convince her that I shouldn't since my parents didn't allow to spend the night somewhere else during the week and Janis didn't want my parents to dislike her.

So I managed to get a break from her and went home. To my surprise, Jill was waiting in front of my house and glared at me.

"Jill, what are you doing here? I cancelled our meet up", I said in confusion and she rolled her eyes.

"I came anyway because I wanted to talk to you. I thought we were friends Lux", she suddenly said and my eyes widened.

"Of course we are. Why are you upset?", I asked and she looked at me in disbelief.

"I can't believe you can't tell. It's Regina of course. You knew I was down bad for her and yet you were all over her at the party. She didn't even glance at me once because she was completely focused on you!", she ranted.

"I wasn't all over her. She was all over me but I didn't have any interest in her. You can still try to make your shot, there is nothing going on between me and her", I said to defend myself.

"Oh please as if your gay ass wouldn't go for her, she is the definition of hotness", she said and I sighed.

"I'm with Janis. Yes Regina is hot but I wasn't interested in her because she seemed intimidating to me. I was always interested in Janis", I said and she suddenly took her phone out.

"And what is this? Why did I receive a video of Regina pulling you into her bedroom?", she asked and showed me the video.

My eyes widened in shock. It was a tiktok dance video of Gretchen and Karen, where Regina pulling me with her was seen in the backround.

I shouldn't be so surprised, people were filming a lot during the party.

"Jill, I didn't want this to happen. She pulled me with her because she wanted it but I rejected her. I swear nothing happened between me and her", I explained but she just shook her head.

"Regina is a girl, who can have anyone she wants. Do you seriously expect me to believe that your gay ass was pulled by her against your will? Absolutely not. You knew I was down bad for her and yet you let it happen. You're such a slut", she said and left.

"Jill wait!!", I called out for her but she ignored me and just kept walking.

I couldn't believe it. Now even my close friend was mad at me and called me a slut.

I immediately ran into my bedroom and fell onto my bed, crying into my pillow.

Staying away from social media wouldn't help that much anymore. This party was now destryoing my private life just as much.

On the next day, I decided to confront Karen and Gretchen about the video. They made it after all and I was sure they sent it to Jill as well since they were loyal to Regina and Regina still threatened to ruin my life after all.

Gretchen looked confused when I walked up to them while Karen smiled brightly.

"Lux! Don't worry about the shitstorm, I will still be your friend. I also get called a slut a lot", Karen said but I ignored her statement.
